Cattermole is a fecking liability!

He has had some big big performances for this club over the years, especially during the run-ins to escape the drop. He never hides and most certainly not a coward like others. He has been way off the pace this season though.

He's finished unfortunately. Injuries have ruined him.

I'm no basher of his but not a big fan either. I suspect he hasn't looked after himself enough which probably doesn't help, we all know he likes a good sup.

Mind I'll say this - Ndong is far worse

Theres absolutely no point in getting into the debate about Cattermole's abilities again. It just goes round in circles.

to say he is 'one of the major reasons we haven't progressed' is ludicrous though. If , as you say, he is a part time player then his influence on the side can't have been that huge.

I don't think the Spurs one was that easy mind

Was v hard to miss

Cattermoles tenure here has coincided with a dearth of creativity in our midfield that has seen us become progressively worse season upon season and seen levels of professionalism at the club plummet, just a coincidence of course.
Catts has never been a creator tbf

He's a destroyer

He was about 20-25 yards out and had to place it right in the bottom corner as Lloris was getting back across his goal. As I remember there was a player closing him down as well

Cattermole has been excellent for Sunderland in a lot of games.

The trio of Cattermole, Kirchhoff and M'Vila was very good. That was only 18 months ago.

Haway man anyone would have scored that, except jozy

Problem is he had a canny game against Derby to be fair, but that was it a canny game, and because he had a good shot well saved by their keeper, all of a sudden their was talk on here on moving him up the field and people talking about him running the show and scoring goals.

He's just shite without the fart
Cattermole days when he could shit out a talimanic performance like the one at Norwich away in the pl are gone...last season was total mediocrity and this season is worse. He's fallen into the rodwell bracket of passenger. The saddest part of it is that unlike rodwell...when he can be arsed he's a force... something to galvanize others .

But that fire is long cold and now we just have another player incapable of looking decent in the championship

He ain't alone ...cattermole would rather be playing golf than playing for us. Sad but true

I don't believe any of that like.

You'd f***ing hope so when he's been here eight and a bit years!

And Cattermole was the weak link. It's blatant that midfield was effective in spite of Cattermole, not because of him.

Nail on head here. A massive part of our onfield problems.

He wasn't a weak link at all. He was very effective. Kirchhoff sat and sprayed it about, Cattermole did the dirty work and kept it simple, M'Vila was box to box. An effect is trio
