I'm not really interested in anything they have to say tbh. I don't want to see interviews with that smarmy, preening cunt, I don't want to hear more bullshit plans from Ellis Short. I certainly don't blame the person who has to put together / cut and paste the responses to emails. I just want Short out asap.

But it's interesting that they are now trotting out the 'mistakes of the past' line in every interview and communication. Who is the common denominator there then Ellis? Who'd have thought that the f***ing ridiculous decisions you have made in the last few years would be bad ones? I can't be bothered to recite the f***ing list again.

In most jobs, if you were utterly f***ing incompetent in a job for 8 years, got every decision wrong, got nothing of any consequence right, your business lost hundreds of millions of pounds as a result, you would lose your job or be chucked out by shareholders. In the case of Ellis Short, he gets to make the business pay him back, no matter how much the product suffers as a result, and fuck the customers.

We get an arsehole owner with the competence of Peter Ridsdale and the scruples of Phillip Green.

Yet you wrote all this about something you don't want to read and how do you suppose we sack the owner?

I'm now looking at the third club on my list. All three looked at so far have required financial support from their owners, either as loans or as increases in share capital. We're very far from unique.

Is it possible for you to look at Southampton please

I get the impression he's scared of promotion because he'll be thinking he as to then go and spend more millions on shitty players again!
That also makes me wonder if going down became the plan so he could reduce the wage bill.
I think he knows that going up is the only way of realistically reducing the debt but isn't willing to throw a wedge of cash in order to do so and won't spend big if we do manage to. He'll be hoping we can do a Burnley, ie go up on the cheap and build gradually even if it means being a yo-yo club.

Problem I have is, supporting a football club is maybe not about what you achieve, but what you aspire to achieve. There is this admittance we need to sort things out from a financial point of view, but no ambition to achieve anything on the playing side which is the part of the business people care about.

If there is no plan, no ambition to get better and just "get by", its hardly gonna aspire positive thoughts inside or outside the football club. I think we all want a football club we can be proud of and the appalling mismanagement over the years hasn't helped. No wonder people are voting with their feet and not turning up/losing interest.

I wasn't planning at looking at PL clubs, I suppose because I was initially concerned with how clubs manage at this level, rather the analysing in detail where other clubs have done better at PL level, but I guess it's something I may have to think about. Dammit guys, stop lengthening my to do list ;)

Have they been equally as unsuccessful with transfer ins and outs?

Patience, my Padawan - these things take time.

Action and reaction, that's all it is if the club had run it self better and the owner had admit his mistakes in 2014 that maybe we would be in a better place now

Fair amount of sound bites and token phrases in the email but it would be no different at any other club. I would love Short and / or Bain to sit me down and explain how the plans they have will help to get us out of the financial mess we are in as I just cannot see it happening
So what else is possible?
Spend more money seems to be the only answer for many.
It's not there!

The reason I want to know about Southampton is to see what a club should look like to run and what made them a success we have seen bad in your covering of Blackburn, I thought it a good idea to look at a club of our size who gets it right in contrast

Just imagine if we'd had a good manager and they had the money Shirt has provided (which all of the other managers have pissed away). We may have done a Leicester.

Which is fair enough but how do we get out of the mess we are in then? I'm assuming we are going to try and sell / release any of value and / or high wages in Jan and the summer but then who do we have left who we can sell on?

We will still be in a fair amount of debt with no way to get out of it unless we produce another couple of Hendersons or Pickfords. The money isn't there but what is the actual plan to get us on sound footing again? Do we cost cut as much as we can then Short sells us or what?

be interesting to see what effect Administration had on Southampton

Do safc not receive the £100 million in total of parachute payments, over the next four seasons guaranteed?

A figure which has been widely reported as the reward that a play off promoted team gets, on finishing bottom the following season?

We can't sack the owner. I have never suggested we could. We have to wait for him to claw back as much of the club's money that he has spunked up the wall through his sheer incompetence over many years as he can, regardless of what it does to the club.

That wasn't intentional, she had simply ended the email with "Louise" and her surname just wasn't in the content I copied and pasted.

Most people know who she is and she's been mentioned plenty of times on here before, so it's not a confidentiality issue.
