Rafa. He's still not happy

Nobody else due in according to Sky reporter outside ground.

So no left back and now their star striker is aware that Rafa happy to let him go to the Championship for £18 mill but couldnt get a replacement

Their day is about as bad as ours

Would be worth a few quid on them getting relegated and him being gone very soon.

That's a shite team, even if they stay up it'll be a painful season. I said our squads wouldn't be much different in quality.

Pretty much confirmed they'll be 16th / 17th at best. They might have enough about them at home to stay up like we saw vs West Ham, but I'll be surprised if they win more than 2 games away from home and they are relying on 3 of Swansea, Burnley, Brighton and Huddersfield being worse than them, but 7 point for Hudds and 4 points for Burnley away at Chelsea / Spurs won't have helped them.

It's crazy how poor their window has been compared to other bottom half teams. All that £70-100m chat a few months ago to signing Javier Manquillo

basically for NUFC I'd say can they be above :

top 7 - nope
WBA- Nope
Southampton - Nope
Stoke - Nope
Watford - Nope
Swansea - Nope
Huddersfield - Nope
Brighton - Yep
Bournemouth - maybe
Leicester-Nope
Burnley - Nope
Palace-Yep
West Ham-Yep

It will boil down to who gets the best replacement gaffer in and when for mags to stay up - benitez has had as much money as others in same position but he must moan -

Ashley is clearly shafting them. It's alright saying he's a good owner compared to Uncle Ellis but he's relegated them twice and they're scraping the barrel for players again. I read the other day that every single Premier League club has broken their transfer record in the last two years - except them.

Shame
He's still got a squad good enough to stay up, especially with the best manager in the world though? There's smaller clubs than them who's manager's aren't rated as he is with lesser squads. He needs to crack on

If I was him I wouldn't. He doesn't need to be in relegation battles. The whole thing shows Ashley up for the tit that he is. Letting Benitez build a good side would have increased the value and appeal of the club. I know we like to make out that he's a shit manager but realistically the lucky bastard won the lottery by managing to get him and he's fucked it up already  Poetry.

Just like us last season, they have a squad full of overpaid average footballers. They now have to hope Rafa can engineer their survival - although tbh I suspect Ashley isn't that arsed

I think beating West Ham will be a bad result for them in the long run. Imagine the meltdown if they lost and Rafa crying, Fat Mike would have splashed some cash imo. All the result did was paper over the cracks and make the toon army think all is well with the world again.
