Seems to be a common trait among billionaires. Maybe that's why they're billionaires. Short will definitely have to cut his losses though as the family silver has all but been sold and an impending sub £20m turnover renders the club all but worthless.

Do you not remember the match v Villa??? Villa were absolutely horrific and Benitez set you up in his normal safety first unimaginative way and you drew the game. It was there for the taking and he didn't have the courage to attack (which he very rarely does)
When he took over you had some real quality within your squad. Now you don't and he has spent an absolute fortune by buying too many players at around the £5m mark each

He has done an awful job overall. Yes he got you promoted but he did it in a way that makes it massively difficult to get a squad prepared for the PL as he has bucket loads of players he can't shift

But keep believing he's "world class". It keeps me topped up with great entertainment and endless chuckles anyway

Absolutely spot on. When Benitez took over Newcastle weren't in the relegation zone and still had to play the bottom 3 teams. Since then he's sold all the assets and wasted the money.

There isn't a reason for him to dislike us, no reason I can think of, but he does.

Probably the same reason Spurs fans don't like Newcastle, or Everton, or Villa. We have, at times, been competing with them for the scraps from the big table. We get more attention on tv than they think we deserve (as if time spent talked about on tv is directly linked to performances on the pitch). I dunno, it's odd.

He got promoted because he spent stupid money to do so

No we won't come back up but we had an already weak squad and have spent 1.5m. I don't see how what we do has a bearing on how shit a job the FSW doing

In our case, it isn't about getting back up there with speed, it's gathering stability, unity, morale and cohesion for when we return; something the mags don't have.

They are completely blinded by Rafa's name to how far backwards their club has rolled in the past 2 years.
