Huge here mate - 4 huge stores and 3 'express' within 10 miles of mine

Lidl don't have best before on a lot of their fruit and veg - if you're not getting long out of them consider turning down your fridge a bit as we find our stuff lasts for weeks set at 2 degrees
 
I like that Ben and Jerrys cookie dough ice cream. Somebody told me the Lidl version is far superior. Impossible I thought. It bloody well is though. I started popping in on the way home from work and I never go in supermarkets.

If you compare like for like, they're no cheaper than other stores. They look cheaper as they compare their own brands with brand names.

They don't sell everything that I regularly buy so I still have to go elsewhere.

I hate the checkout. I'd rather pack bags as it's scanned. Given the queues and the time it takes to go through the checkout then bag everything at the shelf, it's no quicker than the other supermarkets.

They are a bit naff on choice but if you compare the quality of there stuff to say Asda's cheap stuff it's far better and actually edible.

Scratters at Asda, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl ;)

Sainbury's as a minimum standard, or better still, M&S or Waitrose...

Just kidding - love Aldi me.
 
10.5% so bloody good at 3.33 a bottle.

I have 24 bottles in for wife's birthday party..

It will be one of those deals where they only have 20 cases per store per day...

Good headlines but reality a bugger to get hold of

Stupidly cheap. Stuff I bought I managed to get £30 a box which is just a fiver a bottle.

As I said though it's a case of can you actually get hold of it.

Christmas and the bronzed turkeys they were flogging out ..turns out they only had a couple thousand at that price across the whole country.

Gets nice big headlines in the press though
