Well it isn't, but rather than just have "Yet it is, no it isn't" contradiction-fest 2017 I'll say this;
It's not down to Benitez to negotiate transfer fees, wages, clauses, etc. That's Charnley and Barnes' remit. It if were down to a man less interested in getting a bargain and more interested in a getting the right players, we may well have seen his primary targets join Newcastle, were they realistic.
He hasn't told all the players they're not the ones he wanted. That's a big old fib. In fact, he's said that he's been following Joselu's career from his time at Real Madrid.
THEY WEREN'T REALISTIC ffs!! The mags are NOW starting to realise they were totally deluded by thinking they had a chance of attracting the names mentioned over the last 6 months. Welcome to reality
Isn't that the same for about 95% of clubs??? EVERY manager wants better than they have. Barring a few top clubs, all managers have to cut their cloth accordingly.
How many managers use the media to complain about not having enough money to the extent Rafa does?? To the point the f##kin chairman has had to fight fire with fire and go public himself
He just needs to get on with it and prove how good he is instead of leading the fans down this silly path about how hard done by he is!! £5m a year ha. 99% of them are totally blind to the fact that all transfer policy is down to RAFA!! Same shite with Rafa, just a different club and the fans just can't see it![]()
