Who... Darron "El Balde Pirlo" Gibson?

Mint how we were all slating the fucker 3 weeks ago as being worse than Rodwell, but after a heavy sesh and a decent game v Bury he's suddenly transformed into Gattuso.

Wait til Rodwell gets a game.

To be fair whilst he was shit in the Prem most did say he'd be a good player in this league, provided his attitude was good

Honestly mate I think alot of our players are good players. Last season was just a nightmare. Their confidence was shot to bits and Moyes just didn't help at all.

I've wiped the slate clean with all the lads apart from the 3 who want away. Can't write them off after last season imo. They'll be totally different players with a few wins under their belt.

I was at a talk in with Stephen Elliott and Nick Barnes the other month and afterwards I was speaking to Nick Barnes about last season. He said that the players hated Moyes and that most of them just "downed tools" and just wanted him out.
Said that whilst he was negative in the media (said he was the hardest manager he has had to talk to at Subderland) it was nothing compared to how he was at the training ground

Aye I bet.

I still can't believe the first words out of his mouth were "relegation battle". What a knobend that man is.

Can't even give him credit for giving Pickford his chance. Mannone gave Pickford his chance by getting injured. Moyes had no choice but to play him.

I pity the next team he manages.

Doubt he'll manage at club level again.
Maybe the likes of rangers but more likely the scottish national side.
Even then after 3 successive abject failures no one will be knocking on his door.

Hopefully, but nowt surprises me in football these days. No doubt some daft chairman will come along wanting a big name and Moyes will be in the running. We'll get the blame for ruining Moyes' good name man.

The arsehole.

My thoughts too mate, and players do sometimes see the light when they can see the end of their career popping up on the horizon.
Everybody deserves a shot at redemption marra, hopefully as you say this might just be the boot in the arse he needs. It could rescue his career and ultimately save his life.

I thought he was excellent on Thursday

Spoke with me fatha last night done nowt but slate him

Me fathas new boo boy

For sure "but" Gibson was never a dynamic player, he is a deep lying player who's best asset is his range of passing.

You only have to see his build, he isn't cut out to cover every blade of grass, nor is he box to box.

Besides the point the chap definitely needs to trim up and get fitter because there is a player there, especially for this division if he applies himself.

He could be like a new signing mate!

He actually covered a fair bit of ground against Bury once I'd watched the game back but as you say he will never be a box to box player. That"extra 10%" though could make a huge difference...a bit sharper to the ball, an extra yard of pace to turn away from players etc.

When a manager repeatedly contradicts himself within the same sentence then the chairman should consider pulling the trigger. Moyes did this on a number of occasions during August last season especially when talking to the media about transfer activity. We had idiots on here claiming he was just good at throwing people off the scent, imo he was having some sort of breakdown.

I was pleased with his appointment, within 1 - 2 weeks I knew it was an horrific mistake.

You aren't alone mate. Took me a bit longer, there's no way I saw that absolute train wreck happening.

Even his mam doesn't love him
Rumour has it he had shutters on his pram and she used to feed him with a catapult.

In fairness there were quite a few on here that knew what a terrible appointment it was before a ball was kicked, I actually spent a week or two defending his record at Man Utd.
