Contrary to what's been posted by the bellend brigade, he isn't crap and never has been. He does have a well known problem with drink, but if we can keep him focused he'll be an asset in this division and hopefully the recent publicity was the kick up the arse he needed.

He still needs to lose a half stone/stone imo.

Something he never really had tbh....

Thing is though any athlete will tell you that there's a clear link between better pace and mobility and weight loss....so there may be a bit extra to work on with Gibson.....he looked truly awful last season but just maybe there's been a turning point for him....I hope so as he has a lot of attributes.

Could be useful for us this season. He can handle a football and we'll need that at times. Needs energy around him though.

For sure "but" Gibson was never a dynamic player, he is a deep lying player who's best asset is his range of passing.

You only have to see his build, he isn't cut out to cover every blade of grass, nor is he box to box.

Besides the point the chap definitely needs to trim up and get fitter because there is a player there, especially for this division if he applies himself.

He could be like a new signing mate!

Very impressed yesterday. I wouldn't say he will create much he will keep the ball

I think he could play more at home

The squad is taking shape with different options.

We aren't miles away. Need a winger and a striker

I still think he said nothing incorrect and deserves no stick
He deserves stick for being pissed in pre season imo (severity depends on what Grayson has allowed) no qualms with what he's said at all, hopefully it cleared the air a bit (although I wouldn't be surprised at all if the players criticised have even watched it).

He wasn't singling players out

He was mortal. Could have said any players name and he would have agreed

They're are allowed to get pissed imo

Played well tonight, quite big and scary looking, nice to have in front of the defence.
In fact, almost nothing got through until the 70th minute when he was knackered.
For Christ sake it was Bury... he's absolute gash as is the rest of our midfield and has been for years.

He's a big old unit and looks in shape but I wonder if there's an extra 10% available there fitness wise....he'd be a very good player with a tad more mobility.
If he went on the waggon he'd be a proper handful when fully mentally and physically fit and a bit lighter.
