I won't believe that until the Salvation Army Sunshine Corner brigade Aka our mag infiltrators appear and deny/confirm your theory Reiver

They know no more than us mate, it's just what they read in the Chronicle tbh,

There was one, on here yesterday, claiming Benitez is just biding his time and watching the market before pouncing

I'm not 100% sure of the sums but hasn't Rafa spent close to 100 mil in a year and rumoured to be on 5 mil a year salary.

If I was Ashley I would tell him to put up or shut up and earn your wages.

He's had a long time now to 'build his own team' so the excuses are running out.

The old classic 'he was brought in too late' just doesn't wash any more ...... as you say it's time for his to display his 'world class' skills as a manager.

I don't believe they have heard the saying "what goes around, comes around" . They come on here giving it large making pratts of themselves only for things to bite them on the arse again. Then they slink back to whichever stones they came from.

This is what annoys me about the media and mags going on as if he's been so hard done to. He's on top dollar and had more money to spend in the championship than some premiership clubs last season.

If anything he should be grateful Ashley has backed him in the market. Could you see him managing on our budget?

I said it last year when he was buying Championship players on bigger contracts that he would get them up and not be able to shift any then end up shit creek and walking leaving them in just about a worse place before he joined.

Nailed on for him to go around September i reckon.

It has happened to us before (McCarthy), and with Short's recent approach to investment (or not), expect to see it again.

Not sure what your point is - he got them promoted and a new season hasn't even started yet so "excuses" don't even come into play as there are no results to judge against yet.

The obvious situation that everybody could see coming has panned out. Unable to shift Championship standard players as they overpaid for them last season. It was and is a plain as day.
This, was saying this to mag mates last season.
What they did was a short term fix, and it worked. Now they have to look for another short term fix, in that they have to build a squad capable of staying in the division. This will be hard to do if they are indeed working to a "sell before buying" policy

There's a mag at work blocking all journos/any twitter accounts suggesting Rafa may walk
Sel or Si?

They stepped aside for the lad who has just left Barcelona.

Make of it what you will but I heard Rafa the waiter said 'He could take Neymar'

Ill get my coat.
