Sunderland craic is great like. Especially 'disco pants'. You are a bunch of wild, zany and totally crazy guys coming up with that kind of banter. Disco pants. Amazing.

Absolutely no idea. It seems to be a bit of 'banter' Newcastle fans give to Sunderland fans but for the life of me have no idea as to why or where it came from.what the hell is wrong with cheesy chips? staple pub food isn't it?

Been a thing as long as I remember but I'm only 32.
I reckon it's a lot to do with the word "cheesy". Bit like "wheyz keyz are theyz" or "sewper dewper compewter", it sounds amusing in a mackem accent I suppose![]()
Sounds equally daft in a geordie one aswell !
Gateshead accent is far worse than any imo
I dont know a single mackem that pronounces their words (like the super duper computer one) like that though.Been a thing as long as I remember but I'm only 32.

I still take the satisfaction out of the fact we have ham and peaspudding sandwitches, where as the geordies only have peaspudding sandwitches.
Beif BorgaIt's the way Mackem folk pronounce cheesy chips. Strange to take the piss when they get toon from town and they eat borgaz and drink fostaz.
I'm a Geordie myself but these 'toon' fans really are special breed
