The blunt reality is that Newcastle have been poor for years and haven't come close to doing anything in the league or winning a trophy.

The league finishes are posted below with 10th being the best they could manage despite huge amounts being spent and Carr being proclaimed a genius in the European transfer market.

The other finishes were 15th, 16th and 18th which is dreadful considering the money spent and the 'size of the club'.

So having been relegated, selling their best players, buying 2nd rate replacements and signing the likes of Manquillo, how can they believe they'll do anything but struggle again?

I agree with you that we've beem terrible for a long time.
Amazes me some people try and say Pardew done a good job, but as you've highlighted, 2 and a half of his 4 seasons here were poor. Glad to see you realise we have been crap and underachieving and we fans are right to expect more than the dross being served up.

I realise you've been crap but not that you've a right to expect more than any other club.

Newcastle are a club that's been failing for the last 6 decades.

Clubs like Boro, Wigan, Portsmouth, Swansea, etc have done better because they deserved to.

I'd say fans of both clubs we deserve better if I'm honest. We are struggling no doubt and I'm not sure your signings so far will set the premier league on fire.

What the numpties who support NUFC dont realise is we arent always just spewing anti nufc shite.

I said Abraham would be a top signing it isnt my fault he went to Swansea :lol:

I actually supported them vs Feynoord and Barca in the champions league as they were English and I liked their attacking play. I didnt want them to win the cup though ;)
