Can't believe Smithies is still only 27. Really though, another Grayson old boy from his Huddersfield days. Seriously getting beyond a joke this - I'm not confident about Grayson at all.

Sorry that was mean to read "And then leave for free" i.e. after us having got another year out of him as @DaveAngel was suggesting. Grayson said Vito left for long-term security so no suggestion that we were prepared to extend his contract. £2m is therefore a good fee I think.

Yes, I agree. I know we are down two keepers but they are both good deals. £32 million for two players who cost us nothing. 1 year left on his deal and he wanted to leave.

Impossible to tell isn't it. He's a big lad like at 6'5" but at 29 wonder why he hasn't moved from Dutch league yet. Mind Utrecht did OK last year finished 4th I think.

He's a good keeper, does it matter? Or should we sign someone more shit, just to prove a point because he hasn't played for Grayson before?

Seems a good keeper from some of those reaction saves, be interested to find out how many howlers he made compared to those.
 
I would have Smithies, was brought through the england youth set up from 2005-2009, 27 years old not 35+, could be great business, nice to see us linked with a keeper under 30, SG knows what he is doing
 
I asked my mate who is a QPR fan, but he is bias as fook mind. I asked how much he reckoned they would want, and he said between 10 and 15 million, so that would be the end of that IF true :lol:
