Apple Watch

I would say it depends if you prefer apple or android. I've got the S3 Gear and it's a lovely looking watch, great for sports, got the blue tooth earphones which means I can play my tunes (without the phone) though it while at the gym or out on the bike ... had great tracking apps too!!

I won one just as I was thinking about buying one. I wouldn't buy one now. Not worth the price at all. As said before it's handy paying for stuff with it but find myself now doing that more with the phone than with the watch.

Biggest waste of tech out there.

You are saving literally 2.5 seconds by not taking your phone out of your pocket.

I've got a series 2 one. Got 20% off rrp and I still don't think it's particularly worth it.

A lot of the watch apps don't really do anything. It's just a limited small second screen.

As others have said it's good for quickly reading texts and Apple Pay. Basically wherever you can use contactless you just double tap the button on the side then hold your wrist over the card reader. Really easy and quick.

I wouldn't say don't buy one just that they're really overpriced.

The only thing I can see the benefit of is changing music while out on a run. Even then though, you can get earphones that do that which cost a fraction of the price.

It was always going to be a pointless purchase really, didn't take a genius to work that one out.

Got one last month and really like it. Agree it's nowt special but what else do you expect from a smart watch.

Bit of a novelty I suppose but think it does a good job with tracking my workouts, calories etc

I thought it would be a novelty but it's great. It is your entry point for texts and calls. You can leave your phone anywhere in the house and not worry about missing anything. The message comes via the watch and you can decide whether to respond quickly or not.

You can also put your phone on do not disturb etc through the watch. I use it to control my music and for fitness. Maps go through it as well, along with plenty of other things I probably don't use. If people think it's not worth it, they are not using it to its potential. The first version is only a second or two slower than the second, with the same software. I'd give it a go.
