Just seen some live footage, there are thousands lined up on the streets and there is a bunch of superheroes following behind him and then some Sunderland players/coaches etc after that with shed loads of people following in mainly Sunderland tops but also Newcastle, Celtic and many other shirts as well.
An immense send off for the little fella

Heartbreaking yet as I said earlier uplifting at the same time to see the support and the legacy a little lad can leave.

It is days like this that still give you a lot of hope for the future when you see people's support irrespective of background, religion or whatever - just a Whole Lot of love and respect

Drove through Blackhall this morning. It looked more like a carnival was going to take place rather than a funeral. The people of Blackhall should be very proud of themselves, what great send off!

Caught a bit of the sky coverage this morning that was posted on facebook - seeing the superheroes saluting the coffin and then Defoe in his England shirt and that was me done - trying to hide in my office so no one can see me in bits.
