Not from what I saw, no. Certainly a good athlete but doesn't really have much else going for him. Doesn't strike me who would fit into a Benitez team to be honest.

You would rather have the squad you lot have who are currently 16-1 to win the league over a squad who wer the shortest odds ever to win the championship.

The other major thing to point out is that they do have lots of deadwood on good money that will prove difficult to shift - Riviere, Murphy, Colback, De Jong, Krul, Saivet, Hanley, Gamez, Haidara, Lazaar.

Lejeune looks a random pick, how have you got on with Spanish league centre backs in past?
Clark is just about bottom 5 standard, but always has a mistake in him
Mbemba is hopeless, 2nd touch a tackle
Lascelles isn't as good as Taylor was, no. I think he's nowhere near PL class

And by the way, what kind of word is "shonky"??? :lol:

How many games did Mbemba play last season. Didn't think he played that many

You do realise they have just won the league we are in now and that most people on here don't give us a chance of doing the same?

Sad thing is if Newcastle do not survive then we will not it's going to be to much money to close the gap.... When will mergers start to rival the cartel Top6??
