Benitez Future In Doubt Over Failure to Secure Key Signings

If you'd beaten us at SJP in the last derby you would have stayed up and we would have gone down. You didn't.

Who was Newcastle manager that game again remind me?
You won't get no gripes from me, the better team stayed up that year, end of. Both Tottenham and Everton were well on their holidays in the last couple games however

Good lad. As for Everton, granted they were sloppy and poor under the last few days of Martinez but we would have beaten most teams that night. We were fantastic.

That spell where we got draws against Arsenal and a tough match at Stoke, then beat Chelsea and Everton at home we played our best football for several years

Can't believe I've got roped into this same dull crack again, same bad patter regularly for a year, the forensic examinations of Benitez's previous performances.
Some of you lot on here could go on Mastermind with the specialist subject of Benitez's career.

The fact you feel the need to pore over his career, his transfer history, his successes and failures just underlines the fact that he's obviously a good manager. The comfort blanket response that "benitez has failed everywhere, and he only won all those trophies because of x,y and z" is like some circle jerk safe space you all crawl into just to deny the truth.
It's encouraging.
As a great centre forward once said "opposition fans don't boo bad players", that quote is relevant in this case because i doubt there was the same forensic analysis of Pardew's previous performances, or McClaren for that matter, because the whole world knew that they were proper cack.

He relegated your not exactly budget side, when he still had thirty points to play for and all of the bottom three to play.

Put some spin on that.

God it really is going to be f***ing spectacular when he either does a Keegan or gets sacked fully expect to see pictures of mags crying over social media

Kind of like playing the cones you lot were playing against a disgraced Everton team that week.

No way, you are a Mag?! I had never guessed...
When did you stop pretending to be one of us, sad sack?

Ye knaar what they say mate? If you repeat a lie often enough you will start to believe it. :) They are like members of a cult, can't and won't face the truth.

Yeah. They hate that we exist, to remind them of actual events. :-)

Just a quick question, why does Pardew's one good season wash out all of his previous and subsequent poor seasons, but Benitez's great seasons are washed out by the seasons that Sunderland fans have decided were poor?

We don't "need a big name", Hughton wasn't a big name. He was a coach given a chance and he did well with it, and he had the fans backing. It's preposterous to claim the fans need a big name.
Wor rafa will never ever top pardews highest finish with you's. He also never took you's down

End of the day they were 1 point behind us with a game in hand when benitez took over, so it was in his hands.

He f***ing tonked it and failed to beat all the teams around him.

He took them down when I think many other managers would have kept them up.
Us, norwich and VILLA - 1 point :lol:

Funny how he supposedly didn't have enough time, as I clearly remember when they rolled the fat mess into town (note how it is spelled, and try and pronounce it as such, illiterate Mags), they were all thinking survival was a done deal.

Now watch them deny it. :-)

Fuck reading the last two pages. These Mags are so full of it.
Saying their PPG would have had them overtake us.:lol::lol:

Not. A. f***ing. Chance.

This was why I couldn't help but get in a discussion about it today. In the end I gave up as it was like talking to a wall. They won't have it that he failed.

I still can't believe the ppg would have had them stay up at our expense with a few more games. We were in fantastic form from Jan and would have moved further away from them. We put the kids out against watford and had I think two wrongly chalked off and still drew. If we needed we would have fielded the 1st team and took 3 points there.

But I've give up let them have there delusion. That's the difference we can always except we are shite, when our boss fails
