How come they are always 'afraid to go out the house again', 'afraid to be in social situations' etc etc, is this a stock response for the courts to get extra sympathy/compensation?

I've been brayed to fuck several times now and love nothing more than getting out the house and back into social situations.

My mate is mouthy after a few Drinks and get's punched at least 3 times per year because of it. I don't get involved anymore, I warn him, he fails to listen 9/10, I've done my mate duty, he keeps on behaving like a tit, he deserves a hiding. Frustrating as he never used to be like that, used to be a skinny nerd, suddenly he started going to the Gym and becomming obsessed with them protein shakes, almost overnight he got full of himself.

Last time I was sitting by myself on a wall outside a garage trying to get taxi, asked a lass who pulled up with two lads if they could drop me off at a party and they were welcome to come.

Clearly the two meat heads thought dragging a pissed as a fart bloke all over made them hard. I couldn't even defend myself.

All other times have been down Liverpool, the scouse twats clearly don't understand a friendly mackem!

People's perception of the likelihood of being the victim of an assault can change once it happens.

I got jumped on my way home from the when I lived down Hendon. It didn't change my life, however I started getting taxis home instead of walking.

Probably because an individual's response to trauma isn't straightforward or predictable. If they feel scared or vulnerable their own fight or flight mechanism will make them anxious to avoid that situation or feeling.
