I think they got knocked out of the Europa League qualifying last July by Maribor. They've just beaten Rangers away for the first time in 25 years. I think this guy needs a reality check and realise Aberdeen are a tin pot club.

No mate, they won at ibrox for the first time in 25 years, the Rangers are only four years old.

Any ideas how much money Deek has spent in his three years at the find?
Fuck all is the answer, small maybe so in your eyes but the two stars over the badge must mean our six league titles mean we are as Tin pot?

He probably hasn't spent a penny but Aberdeen can offer bigger wages now because some man and woman cleared there debt for them around the time McInnes took over. Before then they had to settle for the players Hearts and Hibs didn't want and rely on Falkirk's stadium not being good enough (maybe twice) to avoid relegation.

to give an indication of the Aberdeen style of play..........do a search for Hearts v Aberdeen December 30th 2016..........absolutely class goal

Have Aberdeen any decent players who could make the step up?

Danny Rodgers is meant to be a promising goalkeeper and had a good season with Falkirk. I can remember Anthony O'Connor showing some promise with Ireland's U21s. Niall McGinn is probably their best player and Johnny Hayes looks ok but both are 29/30. Adam Rooney is cack. I don't know much about the Scottish lads in the squad. Also, whatever happened to Joe Lewis? He was tipped to be a future England keeper!

They helped clear debts by giving the club £3m, internal restructuring sorted the rest which stood around £11m. So slightly incorrect in your assumption. Years of mismanagement with Brown/McGhee/calderwood didn't help.
Anyway, I shall be dancing in the south stand on Saturday when Shinnie bags the winner.

Possible Lewis the keeper.
All would be decent champ players but not prem. however would be happybthey stay at pittodorie otherwise the club would be decimated.

He's managing in a pub standard league so let's not pretend otherwise. Aberdeen would be mid table in League One at best if they played down here. He's won 1 major trophy on his time there and to do that he had to beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle. They are about the equivalent of Hartlepool and I'm being generous there.

You can't take any achievement or successes up there seriously because the standard is so low.

He managed Bristol City in the championship and was a monumental failure. The Scottish Pub League is his level so let him stay there and finish 2nd every season until Rangers get their act together and he can finish 3rd.

Where do people reckon SAFC, as we were last season, would finish in the SPL? Win it easily? Win it at all ahead of Celtic?

I hope you enjoy your day and they win. Many of my friends are Dons fans. I'll be watching the match in Triple Kirks to kick off my 12 hour drinking shift.

I think we'd have won it. I caught a few Scottish matches on BT last season and the standard was beyond bad. It was hideous at times.

Did you watch us at all last season out of curiosity? As we were worse than hideous. I don't want Mcinnes but your posts are coming across ridiculous to be honest mate.

Looks like Aberdeen play with plenty of width and quick counter attacks, i like that.
It was a nothing goal man 10 a penny they are and was horrific control by the winger/full back good job he had 50 yards of space infront of him. Let's not base a style of play on that late goal against a side all out attacking in a shite league

I was at 16 of our 19 home games. I take it you haven't watched much Scottish Football for a while?

f***ing hell this Bain fella is a bit shite like ain't he, two average as fuck Scottish managers at the top of the list makes me start to wish dour Dave had stayed on.

I doubt Bristol City and Norwich fans would say they were as good as average.
