He was poor at Bristol City, the Scottish league is not a good indication that a manager will succeed in this country.

Neil Lennon
Tony Mowbray
Alan Stubbs
Alex McLeish
Gordon Strachan
Craig Levein
Craig Brown

Need I go on?

The SPL is poorer than ever and looking at a manager from that league with no proven track record in English would be disaster IMO.

Other than ferguson has there ever been another decent Scottish manager ?

Why not McInnes?
He's done very well with Aberdeen, and previous with St Johnstone.
He seems a feisty passionate fucker who wants to win, I'm sure he'll have a drive and a hunger.
There's simply no guarantees as to who could be successful we've found that out surely?
We've had name managers who've flopped badly, this could be the break someone like McInnes needs.

One word, it is Scotland anyone can do well there that is nothing compared to the championship, might as well say hello to league 1 now

Aye but he didn't have superstars like league 1 & 2 flop Adam Rooney when he was there

Seriously can't believe people are thinking this might be a good appointment it's the sort of manager I'd expect some club like Peterborough to get
Robbie Nielson left Hearts to manage MK Dons. As I said why not go for Alex Neil or Rony Delia. Both of them did good jobs in Scotland!

Are the posters pointing out his record at Bristol City (which ended in 2013) as a reason not to appoint him the same posters who told us that Moyes' success at Everton (which ended in 2013) didn't mean he's a good manager because it was too far in the past?
