Why not McInnes?
He's done very well with Aberdeen, and previous with St Johnstone.
He seems a feisty passionate fucker who wants to win, I'm sure he'll have a drive and a hunger.
There's simply no guarantees as to who could be successful we've found that out surely?
We've had name managers who've flopped badly, this could be the break someone like McInnes needs.

Rather have Phil Brown he's done cracking job at Southend managing in a harder league

Do a search on Bain posted by me (canny few mind) afew things might change your mind. Here's a selection;

Was on the board at rangers when they set up EBT.
Knew from 2010 that HMRC were looking closely at this.
Paid himself a bonus under EBT even though Rangers were in the shit.
Negotiated a 39 month notice period prior to Whyte takeover thereby guaranteeing a massive pay-off in event of the sack even though Rangers were skint.
Gave McCoist a golden contract even though Rangers were skint.
Wtf was Ellis short thinking hiring someone with even the most remotest chance of shit sticking to him after the Margret Byrne debacle :confused:

It's asking Rolf Harris to babysit.

Spot on, won't go down well with a fair few on here though. They want a figurehead, a cheerleader to gee the fans up, rather than an actual manager.

Fair play to the Dons on their thread, giving us a bit of a slating. We are being a bit derisory, considering how many times they have won things and been in Europe and how many times we haven't. They are not a tin pot club.

However, the difference is whether you put any store by attendances as well as leagues. Aberdeen haven't averaged over 20k for years, just as we haven't averaged under 40k.

He's done a good job with Aberdeen and might be able to get us a few bargains from north of the border. He's also relatively young with something to prove in England.
