He appointed an ex-Rangers person to the Academy, has appointed an-ex Man City as DOF (or whatever Wilson's job is). He is using an ex-Leicester bloke for scouting and has had the temerity to talk to Walter Smith about who we might appoint next. Have I missed something? He's appointed one ex-Rangers person into a permanent position. Everywhere I have ever worked I have seen people appoint people who they have seen doing good jobs in previous areas. Would you complain if he appointed Jokanovic? He worked with him in Israel. It appears that now that Moyes has gone Bain is the next one in the sights.

Moyes interview on Talksport last week he said "when WE took the job". He was referring to himself and Bain. I suspected Bain was a factor in Moyes coming here as Moyes was appointed 3 weeks after Bain. Moyes grew up supporting Rangers and apparently Moyes father did scouting work for Rangers. Bain brought someone into HR from Rangers IIRC. Ian Durrant (ex Rangers) has been scouting for us apparently. He has asked Walter Smith (Rangers) to help identify a new Manager. A potential candidate apparently recommended by Smith is - Derek McInnes - yep you guessed it - ex Rangers.

Are you saying Bain is narrow minded

Just like the team of all the talents. Founded by Scots ,ran by Scots and most of the players Scottish.
That was then, this is now, the last decent player to come out of Scotland was Dalglish, since then Scottish players have all been of a very poor standard.

This post the last bit

Mate of mine who is a huge Sunderland fan was telling me that in the last 10 years, Sunderland's net transfer outlay totalled £150million - and still they are shite and a club always struggling to avoid relegation.

It irks the mackems somewhat that their biggest rival (at "skunk park" as they call it) just up the road have spent a net outlay of £50 million.

Sunderland need root and branch surgery from top to bottom.

Is McIness really wanting to go to a joke club where it will take years to just weed out the dross signings of previous managers with no guarantee of success?

McInnes may well move on, but I doubt very much he'd want to go to a shit club like Sunderland.

You might be right. He hasn't done anything other than bring other clubs finances into order if I'm not mistaken.

Do a search on Bain posted by me (canny few mind) afew things might change your mind. Here's a selection;

Was on the board at rangers when they set up EBT.
Knew from 2010 that HMRC were looking closely at this.
Paid himself a bonus under EBT even though Rangers were in the shit.
Negotiated a 39 month notice period prior to Whyte takeover thereby guaranteeing a massive pay-off in event of the sack even though Rangers were skint.
Gave McCoist a golden contract even though Rangers were skint.

Been keeping an eye on Oddschecker all day and Mcinnes has just jumped into the lead

they havent got a clue man - oh he is scottish and Bain is scottish so......
f***ing bollocks man
