We'd have to pay compensations, so that could be a stumbling block. would prefer Schwartz.
I don't think Schwartz would have a clue about recruitment on a small budget to make a winning Championship side.
Why would he know anything about the players?

I am shocked this man is not mentioned more on the thread about which ones we wouldn't have. The guy knows nothing about the Championship and what he does know is only at SPFL level. He isn't proven. He isn't quality. Why are we even having this thread? Even Walter Smith and David Moyes surely wouldn't consider him.

Tell that to most of the forum.

He has worked with Benfica as a scout and an agent. He was an assistant coach at Helsingborg and the current Under 21 champions Sweden. So he wouldn't have a clue of any players.

McInnes might turn out to be a great appointment but it's not one that gets the fans excited. You could make the same arguments about going for Alex Neil or Rony Delia.

If you check his career he has had one bad season out of 10 as a manager. The first year at Bristol he went in when they were adrift at the bottom and saved them. The next year he was sacked when they were again at the bottom. With his other jobs he took St Johnstone to the SPL and kept them there and has done a great job at Aberdeen. Not saying he's right for the job but he has a good managerial record and sounds as good as anyone else mentioned and better than some.
I agree. Many top managers like Alex Ferguson, Brian Clough etc. started somewhere and it wasn't in the Premiership.

The manager's name shouldn't be the thing that gets the fans excited. The manager's football should do that.

But what has he done? When we appointed Roy Keane there was a buzz about the place even though he never managed a team before. Big names or box office names left the club and the fans.

He's been an agent, so I'd imagine he'd have more than a clue and he'll have good contacts too and he'll excite the fans, bums on seats, of course, we can always go the sweaty route and bring in loads of useless jocks, which is probably the route this fucked up club will head down.

The biggest worry I have with going for him is if he thinks the championship is the same standard as the Scottish Premier. It's not it's far superior to it. I would hate for him to come in and buy most of his players from up there. We would struggle to make top half.

He's working wonders for Aberdeen, considering what he has to work with. I heard an interview with their chairman not long ago where he said he expected not to have him much longer.
