Was more than worth the 3 million we paid for him, scored some important goals and did very well when needed, we just need a championship club to offload him to, best get in quick before the bigger championship clubs come knocking.
 
Said it when the mags signed him, he's decent at that level and will chip in with goals. Couldn't be first choice but as one of 4 or 5 strikers you generally need to get out of that division he'd be a good option.

You need quite a few clubs to offload your championship plodders, got you pants pulled down there.
Chris Hughton spent less than 7 mill, same end result. Rafhaha spends 50 million and becomes a world class manager, you bunch of clowns
 
Love the way people judge him purely on his time with us, even though he was used mainly out wide.
Since 2013 he's bettered 1 goal in 3 as an out and out forward at this level. Mainly for Ipswich but just about kept up his ratio for Newcastle too. Over a Championship season he averages around 17 goals.
Of course he's not what we need long term but if the money's right then he might be a good short term solution.

The only ones we want rid of are Hanley, Murphy and Diame.

Ritchie and Gayle will be capable squad players in the PL and thats where the bulk of that money went.

Should be able to recoup the money on the rest or at least with small losses, sorry if that doesn't fit the narrative ;)
