Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Murphy was brilliant for us last season and has a great record in the Championship recently. He may have been shite for you 10 years ago but he's clearly learned to play to his strengths. He's a big lump and is about as mobile as a fridge but he's positionally very good and can finish.

Everyone saying "nah" and "fuck off" etc, have you any other suggestions? Who do you see as a realistic target given your likely budget?

Nah, fuck off.

What is our budget like?

He is a decent championship player and did well for us in comparison to others, often used out wide as well, he's not great but far from the worst we've had. For a million orso would be perfectly a perfectly acceptable signing.
The bloke will want paying ynar......and he won't be willing to take much of a pay cut either.

He'll do a job.
There's a few masonry repairs round our back want doing. I'm off to get the toupret when I've finished my tea. Tell him I'll meet him at the builders warehouse at half ten.

Lazy journalism I said weeks ago we would be linked with him it was such an obvious link to make. It's going to be like this all summer. We were linked with players last year that Moyes said he hadn't even heard of, journalists have to write something I suppose easy job everyone on here could do it.

This seems a common concept on here lately; so as long as we spunk money on players youz clearly don't like, it's perfectly acceptable to sack him?

Newcastle bought promotion, and like you say, that squad will be ripped up and starting a fresh by majority.

Nufc got lucky to get back up, but that doesn't guarantee survival with mass changes in personnel I'm sure they'll make again.

Got lucky? By winning more games and getting more points than anybody else over the course of 46 games, following an excellent recruitment policy.
Aye ok.

9 points clear of third place
Winning the most games
Scoring joint the most goals
Conceding joint the least goals.
Being top for the most days

Seems lucky to me.

Not sure what he was like for you lot the first time, but he was good for us. Won everything in the air, knew when to hold it up and when to lay it off. Was clever and composed, knew how to draw a foul and didn't go down like a fanny like the rest of our strikers did expecting fouls that you just don't get the championship. He worked hard and scored goals, important ones as well. Was 10 times the player Mitrovic will ever be. He is exactly the type of player you will need Experienced and proven in that league and up to the task. We had lots of championship standard players last season but none with his level of experience. You need experienced Championship players who have been and done it in that league, had we had a few more like him we would have had 100+ points.
