Said once he realised religion was for the deluded and life was completely random and meaningless it made killing easy.

Thought that was interesting as many reckon religion is the root of all evil.

So he used religion for an excuse to kill or a lack of religion.

In the name of god has resulted in millions of murders and it will continue to do so. It's a way of passing the blame for the weak minded.

The guy was evil, the devil - no compassion, no remorse, got satisfaction from raping and murdering kids, should have been hung by the neck until he was dead .

God gives all of us the free will to choose between good or evil, and many choose to follow the ways of evil. Unfortunately, when some people choose the path of evil, others may suffer as a result. However, in eternity, the righteous will be rewarded and the evildoers will be punished.
I wish I could believe that fairytale however I don't but it won't stop me from trying to do right by people.

I totally disagree with this. If Ian Brady was hanged in 1965, Pauline Reade's body would never have been discovered in 1987 when he confessed because Hindley was looking likely to be released. Nobody would known that Keith Bennett was buried somewhere on the Moors.

Brady saw himself as an existentialist, whereas I saw him as an egotistical sadistic nobody who earned his notoriety by killing people much weaker than himself.

Couldn't agree more.

I can't help but think Brady's sentence, life meaning life and force fed to prevent suicide, was bang on what he deserved.

couldn't agree more. He wanted to die and manipulate the system for his own use.

Keep him alive for as long as possible and make him suffer every day.

All these people that wanted him to be hung were missing the point...I bet he hated being alive and his life with the other prisoners would have been absolute hell...so I'm glad he got to live every single second of it.

Now that he's dead he should be forgotten about....

God doesn't exist, there is not one piece of evidence to support that he does, yet people still use religion as excuses for everything. That's why praying, or singing hymns or any other religious superstition is a huge waste of time - it achieves nothing.

Just because we don't yet understand certain things does not mean that the answer is god, the answer is we don't know.
