the difference is, and i've always maintained, is that Sunderland fans know all of the above, openly admit to it, take the piss out of ourselves for it, and critisise our own club for it. more so than any other set of fans can be derogatory towards us, we know it already.
whereas with the mags, they can never, ever, admit to being shit. a shit club with shit people in charge, shit players most of the time and whingey / psychotic fans. the constant 'safc in our shadow, biggest club in the world, wa desorve better, nee one undastands' - its f***ing mental. rafa this rafa that, he had plenty time to save the toon, similar amount of time that Di Canio and Advocaat had with arguably worse sqauds and they suceeded. rafa couldnt get them organised to beat 1 of us, norwich or villa, lost loads of home games this season and played pretty shit for the most part by the sounds of it, and has filled the squad with expensive championship players, yet he is still seen as a god. if it were us, we'd be worried it was all going to blow up in our faces. thats the difference

i disagree. i dont think we are delusional anywhere near to the extent that they are. we know we are shit, and have been pretty consistently for generations. i think sometimes we can be disrespectful to smaller clubs such as Bournemouth, Southampton, Swansea, Leicester etc.. as its frustrating to see them successful relative to us. i dont think any sunderland fan would claim that newcastle are a 'nothing club' or whatever the fuck they think of us

not really. i work on building sites that are 99% populated by mags. so i base a lot of my opinion on what they come out with. i base my opinion on sunderland fans between the normal posters on here, my mates, people at the match and people in the pub
