Our squad compares unfavourably with Derby, Leeds & Villa

Ok then Bridcutt or Steve sidwell, either way neither are as good and highlights the lack of quality in that league.

Yup, Grant Leadbitter a regular in a promotion winning team, Daryl Murphy looks good in that league and was shite when he was 24 never mind now he's 34. The list of shit top flight players who are more than capable in that league is the same as it was 10 years ago

and they haven't made the play-offs.

This is what Telegraph journo John Wardle says about our perspectives for next year - and even suggests another relegation fight

However some of our resident experts talk of us walking the league and enjoying winning again.

I am not so positive. We have to start by sorting out the managerial situation - and if we haven't got it right over the last 10 years - why should we strike gold this time?

Here we go again

Who's the worst of these experts ........ if you've noticed these people, and their comments, you must have someone in mind.

Perhaps you could hoy up a few of the worst offenders who stuck in your mind.

You obviously wouldn't just make something up to form the basis of an argument, that would be mental wouldn't it?

And there's no way you would slip this thread onto the forum so you could come back later with a 'told you so' follow up thread is there?

While the current squad might have very little to do with the 2017/18 season squad, it is worth pointing out Hull knocked a better championship team out of the cup than the ones you mentioned.
Wolves beat Stoke, Derby beat WBA in the cup.

The reserve side of our 19 pointers were good enough to come 3rd. The 15 pointers were good enough to win the league.

Fletcher and Graham are among the leading strikers in the division, and a shite Mags side sold their best two players and still won promotion with ease. Lascelles and Darlow are among the top players in the division. It doesn't need to be as difficult as people are making out
One problem is the mag side that got relegated was a lot better than the side we're taking down.
Darlow, Dummet, Anita, Lascelles, Shelvey, Gouffron, Colback and Perez all played in the relegated side that got 37 points. It'll be a miracle if ours muster 25.

Absolutely this, however if Moyes is in charge we won't get beyond mid table.

The truth is none of us literally has a clue how next season is going to pan out. We could walk it, we could struggle I don't know. Only thick deluded mags will try and predict it's going to be easy

Hi Reiver. All I know about the Journo is that he writes in the torygraph - his credibility rating is unknown to me.

I have little idea about the strengths of championship squads - I suspect it is a very tough, competitive league.

For me, before analysing squads, our priority is getting a good manager at the helm - and this is not something we are good at.

Let us pray for a miracle and we get it right.

Can't compare our squad at all as we haven't finalised it yet.
It will be heavily reliant on younger players like Gooch Watmore and the likes.

Assaro maybe the top scorer in that division. Electric pace. Also if Watmore is fit he will tear exams apart and hone his skills.

Of course this is clear speculation. Just as much as the OP speculation.

HAWAY the lads. Can't wait for next year personally.

Our current squad is better than all of those teams. Considerably so.

I've watched a few championship games this season, it's awful.

I wasn't speculating - just reporting what Journo was saying. Don't shoot the messenger.

The key to all is a good manager - what previously is shite can then suddenly shine.

Apologies.

A good manager is essential.
We can't say Moyse is a poor manager. His record indicates he is.

Fuck me I sound like the only Moyse supporter.

That it lacks fine art may be possible - but that it is dog eat dog is sure. Look how n'cassel started!

Anyhow we will find out soon enough.

Who is your choice for manager? - this is the question worrying me.

It has only been the last 2 weeks that I am convinced we have to get shot of Moyes - everything indicates he is yesterday's man - I am sorry for him and for us.

A credible manager is needed to galvanise a broken team and disenchanted support. Where art thou?

We do need a manager for the long time.
I feel it will be impossible for a Moyse to do this as he has never attached himself to the fans.

He bangs on about previous managers.
The fans never turned on any to this extent. Maybe PDC but even he could have turned us with his passion.

Moyse has drained us all. I can't even watch his press conferences.

Comments are worthless at this time
Nest seasons team will not be the same as this
Spot on! We need to remove the dead wood and bring in players with hunger.

Our current squad is better than all of those teams. Considerably so.

It certainly is! Huddersfield are poor and still manage to challenge for the play offs. If we can bring in younger players with skill and pace we have a good chance.
