Good places in Europe to go and take a game in.

Just went to Madrid last week. Loads of clubs in and around it. Real, Atletico, Rayo Vallecano, Leganes, Getafe and Alcoron.

Done Krakow and saw both Krakow teams. Done Wroclaw which was a great city but only had one team.

Dusseldorf was also very good, done Dortmund, Koln, BMG and Schalke. Also got Fortuna, RW Essen, Bochum, Leverkusen and Bochum on the doorstep.
Dusseldorf is a canny shout, as you say there's plenty of teams. What's travel, digs, nightlife like?

How about Malaga. Direct flights, plenty of hotels. Easy to get tickets as long as they are not playing Barca or Madrid

I'd say go to Düsseldorf then you have loads of options .or Malaga you can get cheap flights with Ryanair ,the match day experience was a lot better than expected im going to Malaga vs Real Madrid final game of the season

I went there earlier this year, great place and ended up watching Inter beat Atalanta 7-1....but there is nowhere to drink, few decent clubs on the weekend but thats it, was really surprised

Hamburg is a good stop and you have Hamburg and St Pauli. Holland is quite good. You have plenty of teams in and around Amsterdam and you can travel pretty much any where around the country.

Barcelona is another good stop. We stayed in Salou and traveled up for a game. But you have a load of teams around the area and you can get in a summer holiday as well.

Italy in general doesn't have a bar culture - certainly not in the sense it's meant here. You might find small, family run bars tucked down back streets and the occasional vinoteca, but you certainly won't find anything like Leidseplein in Amsterdam or Markt in Bruges. For most Italians, a drink is something you have with a meal

Done Hamburg for my stag do last year would have prefered to see St Pauli they were away the weekend we went. Getting tickets is relatively easy you just register on the official HSV site and order them from there worked out around £15 a ticket. Standard of football wasn't great maybe championship standard, but the atmosphere and experience before and after is second to none over there. .. I was depressed when I came back and done the palace game at home the next week thinking about it.....

I fancy Poland. Cheap, easy to get to and should be canny lively.

Poland is excellent and somewhere I want to return a number of times for football.

Went to watch Legia Warsaw a few weeks ago, opted for one of the most expensive tickets which cost £11. Was just a normal game and the atmosphere was unbelievable, loudest I've experienced. Great city as well and ridiculously cheap.

Berlin, Lisbon, Milan, Rome, Budapest, Krakow, Prague will all be fine regardless of when you go as long as it's not intl week. Standard of football will vary wildly but if you're like me you probably won't be too arsed about that.

Yep, if you go abroad for the standard of football you're doing it wrong

Berlin - big stadium, good standard of football, and one of my favourite cities anywhere.

Edit - if you're into the Belgian style of beer, Bruges might be a good bet. Not sure how easy it is to get tickets though

For Belgian beer, good stadium and good atmosphere, Royal Antwerp is the one to do. The stand opposite the tunnel is phenomenal
