No ones a winner especially the judicial system.When you see what sentences have been given for far worse crimes it really does make the law look like an arse.

That said he is obviously mentally immature.
 
This is why putting him in prison isn't going to solve anything.
Yes put him somewhere where he can be given psychiatric help, but putting him somewhere where a bunch of lads are going to say "Aye you should have raped her" isn't exactly going to help

I think you are missing the punishment aspect of the judicial system

Herein lies the problem. Once shown to be an offender with a liking for kiddies then they should never be released in case they offend again.
 
Rule 1 of prison. Don't believe anything anyone says in prison.

Edit: Why the fuck did I bump this? Wish we could just airbrush him from history.
