Craft Beer

The thread has risen. Cloudwater bowed out of their DIPA series at 13. It was lovely, I had two cans. Hopefully they settle on something similar to 12 as a regular recipe!

I had a bottle of this last night:

It tasted like Elderflower. Couldn't work out whether I hated it or enjoyed it.

We've got a Gooseberry Brett out at the moment. As you can imagine it divides opinion. I like it a lot.

Is it worth a first try? What's wrong with beer tasting of beer, and leave the botanicals to the winos.

Because it can creat some fantastic beers. We do a smoked porter with chipotle dumped in the FV. It gives a nice hit of heat in the aftertaste, absolutely lovely.

A lot of Blue Moon here in Clorado, not a fan of it myself, made just down the road in Golden i think

'Not craft'.

Mass produced.

I know I'm gonna get absolute pelters from the SMB for this. But I have to say that some of these American style craft beers are f***ing class

Granted, a bit more expensive, but they are very tasty

Have a Beavertown Neck Oil Session IPA on the go. Very canny
I like neck oil but it is canny expensive. Fiver for a 355ml can in Sunderland.

I live literally over the road from northern monk.

Pretty strong rumours that it's moving.

Expanding into brewery space in Hunslet and the refectory have been cancelling weddings in the summer. Reckon they are going to sack off the hospitality and move the brewery.

Drinking something a bit different doesn't make him a drink snob. It's his attitude to what other people are drinking that defines whether he is a snob or not. Like the other bloke said, drink whatever the fuck you like to drink and leave it at that. Up there with music and comedy, there's nothing more irritating than people telling others what they should like.

Beaverton is hardly something different, it's one of the bigger producers of craft beer on the market

Why would I care about that?

Surely taste is the most important thing

One of the' definitions' of ' craft' beer is that it is made by a small outfit. I forget thr exact definition. Something about must be majority owner by brewers rather than brew company and under a certain amount made per year, I forget

Still fairly small. That post was made about 18 months ago as well where their popularity has risen rapidly.

Oh, didn't realise this was such an old thread hah.

They are still small in the world of beer but in the niche world of craft beers they are a hulking juggernaut
