That'll be the Russians who came, sober, purely with the intent of picking England fans off and who, almost without fail, were attacking people who weren't there for violence (especially considering how many England fans were banned from travelling while they seemingly had carte Blanche to go) when numbers were in their favour and when the England fans were half cut. Aye, big hard Russians with their f***ing bumbags, set of fannies. To be fair I prefer Germans to the French and of course the modern country should be disassociated from the nazis but they should really have changed their anthem.

I think the first target was to survive invasion from the nazis - we weren't the aggressor. They sowed the wind and reaped the whirlwind according to Harris.

The 'target' then was the unconditional surrender of the axis forces. If you watch Star Wars you will see that the rebel alliance was a sum greater than its parts; the brits were like admiral ackbar and his mighty fleet.

Depends where you sing it. Terrace banter is one thing. Sat in bars in town centres being disrespectful to the locals is just juvenile .....and by the way you will find the generation who fought in the war were more respectful of the enemy than you understand. Kill or be killed was a position soldiers where put in on both sides ....they didn't enjoy it and didn't find it very funny.

Yep lets sing songs at every German, Italian, Japenese, that we come across because their country were ran by evil people 70 years ago. Their soldiers were victims in a similar way....that's why that generation just got on with their lives after the war without recrimination. Never forget the the sacrifice, never forget the learning's but do it with dignity. That was how that generation felt and as they were the ones who suffered their example should be followed.

Pathetic, look at us some modern day conquering heroes. The Germans were fantastic hosts in 2006, allowed people to get drunk and be merry and have a good laugh in big crowds. They were humble, tolerant and flexible and THEIR hospitality made for a great experience. Will be interested to see how bullish and cocky people are in Moscow.

Who's admitting to being offended on the Germans behalf? No one, it's the shear embarrassment that a bunch of brain dead dick heads who represent every other English football supporter can't go abroad and actually behave in a manner which doesn't make us all out to be xenophobic pricks. You don't hear of any of this shit when the Irish or Scots go out in numbers, they go with one intention and that's to have a class time and get involved with the locals which isn't to bring up their hosts sketchy political past.
