Why has this buffoon not been sacked yet

 Yeah, we somehow managed to scrape 27 points from 19 games.
Where in that post does it say we scraped ALL our points, take your big Sam specs off. He did a ok job like the other managers that just managed to keep us up. I'm not a massive Moyes fan but Sam didn't have the injuries to key players

So the other points weren't scraped? OK.

That's right, Allardyce is just an ok manager and he kept us up, which shows what a terrible manager Moyes is.

I know what you are saying, and there were games last season when we did "scrape" points, but to take 27 points from 19 games, only losing 3 in the process means we weren't lucky every game, just like to only take 20 from 28 games this season means we couldn't possibly be unlucky every game.

I just wish Short would get his appointments right. Then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Why doesn't he sack the bastard and show us what a competent decision-maker he is?

I don't know mate, maybe you could tweet him?

He took over when we had played 8 games and had 3 points. By the time we had played 28 games (as now) we had 24 points.

That's 21 points from his first 20 games, which is still much improved on Moyes so far.

 You're the one calling for Moyes' head.
I don't know why he won't sack the useless git though.

Perhaps he's been watching youtube clips of the great escape under Poyet and is expecting Moyes to do the same?

We lost three first-team players by the end of the summer transfer window, for peanuts as well. What were you expecting?

I think that's unlikely. Maybe he's hoping Moyes can turning it around long-term, or maybe he just doesn't know what he's doing...

Who did we lose?

M'Vila? Okay, out of Moyes's hands but he was able to break our transfer record for his replacement, therefore not an excuse.

Yedlin? He could have signed him if he wanted, therefore not an excuse.

Kaboul? He chose to let him go for a paltry £3m, therefore not an excuse.

I was expecting to have around 30 points by now, needing only a couple of wins at this stage to achieve safety, which I don't think is unreasonable.

Short refused to sanction the first two and sold Kaboul for peanuts to a direct rival because of his wages. We did sing N'dong for a transfer record, an in-house scouting job, but this was only because:

1) It was a last minute panic-buy
2) His wages are cheap
3) We have to pay hardly any of it up front

It was obvious losing three first-team players (two of which were key players) in a team that just scraped by last year were going to get relegated, probably finishing bottom. We just aren't good enough. You can argue Moyes could have done slightly better but even with Sam in charge I think we'd have gone down (and we probably will). We needed ready-made talent who could hit the ground running to kick-on, but Short refused to sanction it.

"Kaboul? He chose to let him go..." Source? ;)

I do know @prehab26 knew Kaboul's agent knew a deal was possible, allowing his client to get more wages and himself to get a bigger wages. I also know Kaboul was on big wages and Short has been obsessed with this since his FFP promotions, though particularly so in recent seasons. We can connect the dots...

Yedlin?

"Yedlin? He could have signed him if he wanted..." So he signed a right-back for £500,000 with no experience of senior football. I'm sure that would have been his first choice. Short obviously was massively restricting funds until the last-minute N'Dong buy. But anyway, we don't want to spend £5 million on a right-back, don't be ridiculous.

So the wages Short sanctioned a year ago were suddenly too much despite the player proving himself pivotal to the side? Madness if true or was it seen as an opportunity after he'd sanctioned £8m for Moyes to spend on Pappy?

In the context of our collective wage bill and the fact we could make a (pitiful) profit on him I think that's what he thought, yes. Not understanding of course he was selling a key player to a direct rival and undermining the balance of the team. He doesn't have a clue what he's doing Short, not a clue.

I know he has a better record than Moyes , that's not my argument. Just sick of the love in for Sam like he's a god, when all he did was a ok job

It's like talking to children who don't speak English  or more likely Mags and wums. I've said my piece Short is sticking for once, wasted words.
