Mag hypocrisy ?

On

this thread. Now, your turn please: how do you know that the beer swiller was a Mackem and not a Mag?
So let's gets this straight a Sunderland fan on a Sunderland forum tries to portray us in a better light by claiming a mag swilled reidy and not one of ours? You believe that do you?
A pre season tour of our club and a manager becoming increasingly unpopular gets swilled with beer, I think it's fair to say where the odds are stacked.

Nobody, not you or your other mag apologists, nor any of the honest mags on here objected to his/her claim. In fact, iirc, they all seemed to go rather quite about the subject.

Now, where's your evidence please dearie, or don't you have any ... ?

You can rightly point out our hypocrisy when we're knocking up a statue of Moyes and creating Facebook art to commemorate his birthday after he's died. Until then I'm not really sure how the two situations compare.

These Mags don't realise how much they prove their hypocrisy by ignoring the point and attempting to deflect blame.

And where's your evidence? I've told you my thoughts. Pretty sure if some daft mag on a mag forum claimed it was really Sunderland fan who spat at Bobby there'd be their gullible equivalents of you buying into it, as I said its pretty straightforward where the odds lie.

But I'm not on a mag forum, and I doubt I ever would be. However, you are on a Sunderland messageboard, and so it behooves you to respond.

No surprise that you don't, mind ...

Weirdo? I said I knew someone who knew you, hence the comment "I know of you". Can you link the post where I said if I was wrong I would apologise, just to put your one sided story into perspective?

Imagine spending your spare time on a message board of your local rivals, now that's fuckin weird! Queer fucker.

Likes to be first reply on every thread, really weird. It's like he's got us on a snipe program.

No I agree with you there mind.

Can we stick to fondly remembering Johnson post-conviction instead of remembering SBR

He claimed that, but provided no evidence to prove it.

Care to provide the evidence that it was a Sunderland fan and not a Newcastle fan as has been claimed?
Mate, as you can see the wanker who claimed that is clearly not on my Christmas card list, in fact I would go as far to say I hope he stands on his bairns stickle bricks, I would wish more but I'm skating on thin ice as it is.

Had a discussion a few weeks back where I mentioned Moyes was booed 45 minutes into his home debut and was told that it was the team that was being booed, not Moyes.

Just applying the same logic here. We were booing the team at the time (Wolves H last game of the season) - not Robson.

Don't be ridiculous !!! How dare you suggest you know your own mind, better than some mischievous red n whites. If the choice is the truth or the legend then you go with the legend every time marras

"Newcastle supporters spat on Sir Bobby when, as England manager, he dropped Kevin Keegan. Years later they booed him when, as Newcastle manager, he dared to drop Alan Shearer. Presumably there will be more mournful comments this week from the Supporters Club, yet when Sir Bobby was sacked as Newcastle manager, their statement was: “Recently he has lost the confidence of the players and the fans.”

SIR BOBBY ROBSON has hit back at the Newcastle United boo-boys, claiming the club's supporters have short memories in calling for him to be axed.
The lacklustre advent has seen Robson come in for heavy criticism from a section of fans, who want the veteran boss to be relieved of his duties after four years at the helm.
"The criticism isn't nice and it isn't right.
It hurts, it's not pleasant but it's the way things are these days. I know it comes with the territory but I did not expect it at Newcastle."

Felt sorry for the bloke, but it happens to pretty much every manager there.

2001 when Robson wasn't in the top 4:

"I think I've worked a miracle at this club, When I came here Newcastle United was sinking. This club was heading for the First Division - make no mistake about it. I did a great job here last season because I am experienced, tough and I can solve problems.

"I accept we wanted to do better this season but what we want now is for our public to be with us.

"We don't want knives in our backs and arrows flying around our heads - what good does that do to a football club."

"It would appear that loyalty means nothing.

"I've got jerks telling me to get rid of Alan Shearer, Warren Barton, Rob Lee and Gary Speed. Jerks who don't know what they are talking about.
"Without those players last season we would have been relegated. What
loyalty is that? They have saved this club."

"I hope most fans are backing me because if not, what would be the point of sticking around?

"People say 'Get rid of me'. But I took over a sinking ship. It was going
straight down to the First Division. Can people not see that we are turning it around, cleaning it up. We need time and honesty and loyalty."

"Yes, we haven't done as well as I'd hoped this season.

"No-one feels it more than I do. This is my area and my people and I'm
trying to represent them on the football field.

"Let me tell you about Mick Wadsworth, he's been in football for a long time and he's had to come in every morning, pull on his training kit and actually work with players on the pitch.

"He's no fly-by-night former big-name player who's come in and said 'I've had a great career so I'm going to be a great coach.

"He doesn't just stand there and put the cones out. He's actually worked his way up from where it matters and I know what he's done.

"Do Newcastle fans honestly think that I would employ a coach who wasn't good enough - a coach who was sub-standard for my club?

"If that was the case he'd be out. As it is my coaching staff is equal to any in the country and I will continue to stand up for them."

"I'll have more to say by the end of the week."

Then they started on him again when he only came 5th.
