Highlights from him so far, he has sanctioned-

the record signing of ndong.

Million or more in wages and signing on fees for anichebe and pienaar.

34 year old lescott.

The sale of our only lb and one of our best/only attacking threats to a relegation rival(if rumours are true)

8 million for a chelsea reserve that hadnt played 1 min of prem football giving them a 300% profit.

Loan signings of januzaj and manquillo who arent/wouldnt be in the team if it werent for injuries.

5 million for mcnair who looked worse than/couldnt get in ahead of rodwell

Quite an achievement for anyone that level of shite mind but feel free to list all the positives he has achieved in his time here......

Edit posts?

You fucked it right up man just move on.
What about a new contract for Defoe and one for Pickford too? Did you forget those, or do they not fit your agenda?

What difference did they make?

A half decent bid comes in for pickford we will snap their hands off and defoe will be away at the end of the season if not before.

Martin Bain is a top bloke working class lad who knows his stuff, i guarantee he will put us on the right track, it might take a while, but he is nothing like we have had before, he is dedicated and knows he is up against it.
It might well be a case of it being too little too late unfortunately. A Bain type should of been Shorts 1st signing when he took over and I doubt we would be in this mess

Maybe if we'd had an experienced CEO in charge for the past few years, someone with knowledge of football administration, we wouldn't be in the god awful mess we're in now.

Just beat me to it.

And both will go for more money that they would have had they not signed new contracts. It's not rocket science
Thats not true at all is it.

Their contract has no bearing on the fee we will get as pickford would go to tribunal at worst and defoe can go for nothing if we go down.

Do you allow for the possibility that Lescott has been signed as a cheap cover option given the injury list and Pappy's imminent suspension? And that he's not part of the greater transfer strategy?
He isn't cover for fuck all man. The bloke is finished.

Of course it does man :lol:
The fee we would accept for defoe this window would not change if he hadnt signed an extension just as the money we would accept for pickford wouldnt be less if he hadnt signed on a better deal.

Define working class please .
his mam worked as a cleaner in a kids school his dad was in the army for a good few years he was an apprentice at Amec till he did his accountancy degree i think that is a working class bloke

The latest fall guy for ellis or just another bluffing a living at safc?

19th october 2016.

“This football club has to get better at buying and selling football players.

“I see it and I hope I can achieve. Like it or lump it we should be looking at bringing players to this football club and selling them for a greater value.

“We have to look at acquiring players at a younger age too.”

24 days into the first window since those comments and we have lescott the pensioner on a 5 month deal.

He has been shocked at the state of the club and he is behind the '/we have no money' party line. We do have money but we have got to get in the habit of standing up to agents. That PDC transfer window when we brought 11 in is still haunting us now. I bet nobody knows now where any of them play.

If you give your mates son who is a football agent the job of dof with a remit of reducing wages and signing a boat load of free agent shite then its hard to play hard done by when it goes tits up.

He who cannot be blamed(until recently) is the single biggest threat the club has ever seen.

I'm unclear what to make of Bain. He is certainly better than the last CEO, but how could he not be.

He has a plan which is to bring in young players and develop them. This seems sensible. My worry is that we are going to get relegated in the process. How much is that his decisions or is it Shorts though?

I'm also pleased he's got shot of the hair.

My instinct is he is a good appointment but it's too little too late and he might not be able to sort out the mess he's inherited.

His past isn't exactly reassuring, but then we're not in a good place. Maybe it's what we need. I don't know, does anyone have any decisive evidence he is or isn't doing a good job?

It's hard to know who to blame - but it was going tits up under Niall hence he bailed as fast as he could - there is something about sunderland that makes it hard to sustain consistency at the top level, and we always have. Why is that?

A lot made on he was a saint at rangers the one clean bloke amongst the filth but the link someone put on here seems to throw that illusion out the window.

How anyone, after 10 years in the richest league in the world can be between £170-200 million in debt with a playing squad half full of loans, kids and freebies is beyond belief.

The kind of incompetent leadership that puts ridsdale and leeds to shame.

I have no doubt his actions at Rangers were a bit dodgey but the flip side to that is when you're in a situation like he found himself at Rangers sometimes you have to be a bit underhand. I don't know, I really don't know what to make of him.

The worry is he's just a puppet for Ellis but it's unclear to me at the moment how much we can take what he says at face value. From what he says and has done so far I find it hard to make any criticism really.

He took on a mightily shit situation due to the actions of Short, Byrne, Hutchinson and various DoF's and managers.
