i'd have signed rodwell instead of Ki.
I wonder if that will be your sentiment in May if Leeds pip you to the post...
13th, 10th?
a lot of bullshit on here. at the time of signing, rodwell was a young hot prospect that had suffered from injuries but still had plenty of time to flourish. ki was good on his day, but went missing a lot and has a heart the size of a pea. its all good and well everyone acting on hindsight, and as usual no-one has the balls to accept they were wrong but the majority on here were buzzing when we signed rodwell. he was a real statement of intent. same as johnson. he was a big name touted to be a real good player.Well that, and your user name says it all about your football knowledge.![]()
It depends how you look at it. The year we finished 13th was as much down to the ineptitude of the sides who went down, iirc 31 points was enough for safety. His 2nd season we were 6th around Christmas. Went on an absolutely appalling run as we had done the previous season and something that is a feature of his career, we finished 7 or 8 points clear of safety. If 'we'd lost or drawn against West Ham we'd have finished about 16th. We then started his 3rd season as he'd left off the 2nd, absolutely shite.13th, 10th?
...ah, but theres the rub......would they?
Didn't Bruce deliver you comfortable midtable finishes?
Yes he did.Didn't Bruce deliver you comfortable midtable finishes?
Similar to why we finished 5th with PArdew? Less about us, more about the shit around us?It depends how you look at it. Thought he was in charge 09/10 & 10/11?No. Finish. Singular
Pretty much, the 3 sides that went down did so without a fight which distorted the league table slightly. Even the side that finished 17th were about 10 points clear.Similar to why we finished 5th with PArdew? Less about us, more about the shit around us?

Big Sam found the grass isn't always greener he could've been a legend here
Birmingham sacking Rowett for Zola and now look like their play off push is off.
Newcastle forcing Robson out as they weren't happy with 5th place then going on to be a bottom half premier league/championship yoyo club.
What other examples can you think of where a club has pulled the trigger only to shoot themselves clean in the face?

44pts would have got you 13th (on average) in the past 10 seasons (13 12 13 13 15 15 11 12 13 14)Yes but 44 points and 13th place doesn't fall in to that category for me
Spending 3 seasons out of the premier league since its inception 25 years ago is hardly yoyo
Fuck off with your 92 shite. In the last decade you've been relegated twice. Same as Hull, Burnley and Norwich. Yoyo clubs
