Who's still backing Moyes?

Moyes has had barely any time to make an impact, yet he is being judged by some as if he has been at the club for years.

Give him time to sort out the organisation and see the benefits - he has a fantastic track record.

I appreciate some fans will be getting restless regarding Moyes but i ask myself what replacement would we bring in.

There has been times where I can see Moyes doing a good job but Saturday dented that feeling significantly, I don't think we will ever make progress as a club if we bin a manager like Moyes at this stage, I'm happy to be patient and trust my instinct that I think if Moyes is given long term backing here, he will be a success.

He's had plenty of time to be doing better. If his name wasn't David Moyes he'd have been sacked by now.

I like him but he's under achieving at the minute and he's not going to be sacked so we've no choice but to get behind him.

Who would blame for problems at Sunderland: Moyes or Short?

I believe Moyes can take us forward. He is s long-term appointment who needs time.

Im sure people forget what it was like under Allardyce mind.... bringing on Kirchhoff at Spurs, switching to a back five and suddenly collapsing, randomly changing to a flat back five at Everton and getting destroyed, shut up shop when we got back to 1-1 at home to Bournemouth, played 4-5-1 at home to the mags (preferring Toivonen over Defoe) and were getting absolutely dominated until an injury forced Defoe to come on, bringing on O'Shea at Southampton when 1 up with 5 to go, resulting in us sitting back and conceding a last min goal, bringing on Ndoye, and playing him on the wing, when 1 up and cruising at Sid James.....

All the things Moyes gets hammered for is brushed under the carpet when it comes to Allardyce.

"Out of contract has beens" you reckon Moyes would have signed Pienaar if more money and time was available to him? Also Anichebe was out of contract and he's been class.

McNair and Love both cheap and young. They have potential to improve and could have some resale value in the future, unlike most signings we've made in the past.

You're making out as if Moyes had loads of time and money available to buy anyone but choose to buy shite like Pienaar. In reality he had 1 month to get a whole new squad together on limited budget.

Allardyce has become overrated with our fans since he left. He gets better every time we lose too.

Needs to be given time whatever happens. Dour but stable and genuine is Moyes imo and over the long term I think that is what we need. We tried flamboyant and nutty as a fruit cake and look where that got us, on and off the pitch.

Previous managers take responsibility for their poor recruitment. The problems lay with when we change managers there is always players who are surplus to recruitments. I don't blame Short.

Moyes takes responsibility for this season. I'd love to be proven wrong, I really would be I can't see it.
 
I'm still backing him. Problems at the club run much deeper than him. Yes he's made mistakes but I can forgive him for that, if he was perfect then he wouldn't be anywhere near SAFC.

Allardyce only came here in the October and Moyes has to get this window right then go on a run which sees us losing only 3 games after January. It's a big ask but in the main, I think everyone is backing Moyes it's just people are getting nervous and pissed off.

He totally fucked up and I'm sick of arguing with people about it.

If they want to keep on defending him all the merry way to relegation, crack on.
 
There is far more to being a manager than just picking a team and tactics.

Moyes is at least as important for the work he does off the pitch than on it. The structures he put in place at Everton ensured their sustained success.

Sure, it is important he sets a team up correctly, shows good in game managements etc.

But more vital is how he arranges training, sets up the support structures, builds a successful scouting system, etc

How did he fuck up? Moyes' hands were tied because of the owner, we barely had a squad when he arrived
