Who's still backing Moyes?

It sounds like people were hoping for a miracle worker and Moyes came up short.

We thought we were in a great position in the summer ready to kick on but the reality was that we weren't. Big Sam wouldn't have been happy if he'd stayed with the money made available, it looks like the club were never going to pay the package required for M'Vila and they were never going to be able to hold on to Kaboul.

I suspect that the immediate financial impact of signing Love, McNair and N'Dong combined was less than the sum required to secure M'Vila in the summer and that is why he isn't here unfortunately.

The slightly galling thing is that we are competing in a league with other clubs who would be in just as bad a financial position as us if they were using the same funding strategy as we are. It seems we have a very rich owner who bought our club thinking that he was astute enough to actually make a profit from the deal where in reality that would have been almost impossible.
We didn't need a miracle worker.

We needed someone to maintain a run which saw us lose only 3 games from Jan to May.

He had a great platform when he arrived and went on to remove any good that had been built up.

Keeping the ship on an even keel was all that was required, instead it's now got a massive f***ing hole in it the Titanic would be jealous of.

is that correct or hearsay?
The initial news said 2m for the loan and 6m for permanent.
I would say it's more reliable than someone saying we've paid 1.9m from a 13.5m total around here.

We can say 7-10m if some people want, still a better deal than the fantastic duo Ndong-McNair.

As an aside, who do you actually blame for us not signing M'vila?

I doubt it can be correct as I've heard 6m, 7m, 8m and that there wasn't even an option to buy anyway

Who is he? I always think he is Romanian for some reason but I don't know where I've gotten that from

He's a Romanian living in Bucharest as far as I know. He speaks/writes bloody brilliant English mind.
He hates pretty much all the players (except those that no longer play for us), the manager, the CEO and the owner. He does nowt but slate every aspect of the club on here, doesn't attend games or put anything into the coffers so I'd be intrigued as to how he could claim to be a supporter.

The Romanian Des

Doesn't quite have the same type of ring to it as the Egyptian Beckham like

He's not going to get it. I've tried explaining it before, I had the hand puppets out and everything.
I hope he doesn't run a business.
Where does it say they wanted 10m straight up or that we're paying 1.9m installments on Ndong?

Must be true if that suits your argument.

I know it for a fact, I don't expect you to accept that but I'm pretty sure Bain or Moyes have also said publicly somewhere that that was the case re M'Vila. Mind, I doubt you'd accept their word either.

They'll be paid for on the never, basically like getting credit. iirc Mvila was a straight up front payment which we clearly didn't/don't have.
The bid for Robbie Brady is supposedly with it being paid in instalments as well.

Lets sack Moyes because we are getting beat nigh on every week. How many defeat have we suffered this season? I could maybe stomach, not winning game, if we were hard to beat and drawing games. But we are loosing too many games.

Look at Defoe s goals this season, I think he has 12. How many of them have earned us points. I'm guessing but I'd say half of his goals have come in a losing cause.

You maybe happy with how the season is going and Moyes' management. I'm not, I think he has been poor from day 1, there was a short period of hope but it has again reverted back to type.

Nobody deserves time.

I'd love him to start winning game and picking up points but I can't see it. From afar his man-management skills look non-existent and when the team is struggling that is vital

We are losing games because most our players aren't very good. Poyet tried to make us hard to beat and we seemed to get loads of draws with him but he didn't work out for us in the end.

Unsure what Defoe's goals have to do with out?

Tbh you come across as someone who has been brainwashed into Ellis Short into thinking sacking a manager every season is the way forward.

With a stronger squad...

Interesting.

How would we have faired under Allardyce with Cattermole, Kirchhoff and Mvila all missing you reckon?

It's why Allardyce couldn't get him either, despite having worked with him and rated him so that was probably Moyes' call.

Yedlin too.

Throw in injuries to Watmore and Borini, and Kaboul leaving as well.

*I wasn't too fussed on Yedlin tbh, and I don't think Short would've not sanctioned thst deal mind.

I am.

He is an experienced premier league manager who knows what he's doing. He was at Everton for 11 years and rarely had them out the top 8 whilst spending little money. He needs time to get it right.

How many managers do we need to go through for people to realise the owner is the problem?

Think the criticism Moyes gets is way over the top. People complaining he never brought any subs on today but how many of these young players have most fans actually seen play live? Not many watch our u23 games. Maybe Moyes has watched and knows they wouldn't have made a difference?

We lost today because Stoke have a better team. Other than Defoe, how many of our starting 11 would have got in theirs today? None.
Not me.

Thank you for that.
I like the owner, defended him many times, but he did a lot of mistakes.
I don't like the people involved with the pathetic summer business (Moyes, Bain) and Jack Rodwell.
We're joint bottom under a manager who failed at his last two jobs. Not much to be excited about.
