Who's still backing Moyes?

It wasn't Ellis Short who decided to take off attacking players away to West Ham and Man City to invite more pressure on, in both of those games we were getting an outlet but he cost us a point in each game by his changes

Playing two right backs is never clever either, why not play players in the position they are used to and when injuries mean you have to dip into the development squad then you do that.

Weird bringing up games months ago....cannot remember us going too defensive v Man City. I'm sure he brought Januzaj off the bench?

West Ham was poor I agree. That game was crying out for us to have Anichebe on the pitch but he stayed on the bench.

Moyes cannot win with his substitutions mind. Even when we beat Watcord he got a lot of criticism for bringing O'Shea on but we still won and kept clean sheet.

2 of them were free agents, 4 of them had no chance of getting a PL team to sign them (apart from us) and the other one wasn't getting a game, I wish none of them had signed, I'd rather he came in and said something like "well were going to try not to be and I'm going to do my best to ensure we arn't but it's a tough league anything can happen"
His dour sombre mood sapped the life out of the club and players imo.
You wish Anichebe hadn't signed?

Ok then :lol::lol:

Rubbish. Pienaar, Januzaj and Anichebe were already millionaires several times over. McNair and Love? Well they will also already be well off enough not to ever worry about money again.

Signing N'Dong instead of a player with premier league experience was crazy.
To be fair N'Dong is looking a bit better but he isn't what we needed, it was a gamble he shouldn't have taken.

How many clubs and players would have agreed to a long term tick deal for an experienced premier league player that would have improved us? I'd guess not too many from our relegation rivals never mind the top clubs.

He's made mistakes, especially early in his reign, but to be fair he's been dealt an absolutely abysmal hand. We've got a squad which is f***ing dreadful, with a billion injuries on top and after our appalling start we are still actually in a battle, which I didn't expect.

He certainly deserves criticism and I can't be arsed with all the "Moyes sunglasses" shit. But he's not the idiot many portray him to be and, considering the distinct lack of options elsewhere and the fact that, slowly, he's been improving us, I'd be happy to see him stay if/when we go down.

As a side note, all this stuff having a go at him for saying we were in a relegation fight - he said it after we'd lost our first two matches of the season and he was being honest. If he'd come out and said "no were pretty good and will be challenging for europe", the same people criticising his negativity would be slating him for being delusional and talking shit. Even Saintly Sam, the football genius, came out and said how shit we are at times last season.

Allardyce has become hugely overrated with our fans since he left. The worse we do the better he becomes. Before Bournemouth game he was the next Alex Ferguson.

How did he play today ? or last week ? how will he play on Tuesday ?

Disagree, Ndong has been one of our best players this season, we missed him big style today, nobody else in our squad comes even close to his energy in the middle of the park.

I don't think he's been one of our best players this season but I can't disagree that we didn't miss him today. We'd miss any player who's replacement is Rodwell.

Rodwell was better than Denayer who had an absolute shocker (i like Denayer)....Not sure anybody came out of today with much credit tbh.

Both were dreadful but aye today Denayer probably did shade the shitness comp ever so slightly but then again are we playing him in the right position? Not an excuse for today's performance mind.

Cattermole and Kirchoff are bigger misses than Ndong for me but all three would be in our best midfield. But I really don't think there's too much between Ndong and Larsson.

Different players, Larsson in a holding central role is a train wreck.

I wouldn't play Ndong holding though.

Swap Ndong for Larsson today and I don't think the result would have changed much if any. Swap him for Rodwell or Denayer and aye maybe.

People seem to forget that he's been given a lifeline by us after two total mares at United and Real Sociedad, where he was resoundingly hated. Of course it's true that he's inherited a poor squad - but surely he knew what he was letting himself in for when he joined. I did have faith in him turning things round a few weeks back but he, like his players, seems to lack self belief.

and the fact we would not be able to get anyone even half as good as him. Not even SAF would get this squad playing well.
What makes you think he is any good, last 2 jobs were terrible and he is fast turning this into another terrible job, ever thought maybe the game has past him by now, he cant live on the Everton credits for ever.....

Moyes has had the worst set of players to work with in the league. Bar none.
they may be lacking in skill but he should have them motivated, clearly he doesnt....
