Who's still backing Moyes?

I' m not judging him on what or not he has done for previous clubs but only on his stewardship of my club which has been very disappointing to say the least.
As he had experience in other clubs he should have fully known the score and promised prospects of funds for investment.
In truth since he has come the whole club has been covered in a blanket of negativity.
His tactics and game play have been apalling and he has suffocated and strangled any survival strategy.
His transfer dealings have at best been dubious so am I satisfied with the job he is doing.
Certainly not.

Me. Only because if we sack him we will replace him with worse and our squad will still be abysmal.

I think this squad is where you'd expect it to be in the table, given our injuries its a surprise we're not bottom.

Awful subs? Allardyce got exactly the same criticism weirdly. Our bench is usually so poor there is nout worth bringing on.

What's your breaking point with him? Relegation?

Strangled any survival strategy.......we are 1 point from 17th.

The point that half the SMB miss.

It's not though really because the three he brought in for decent fees still haven't improved us. I'd fully expect a 13 million quid midfielder to improve us and I certainly would an 8 million pound defender. It's not like the team was bursting with quality.

Possibly. Depends on the situation really.

I think we'll stay up like.

Other teams had 2 extra months to plan their transfers. We had to rush around just to get a squad together.

I am.

He is an experienced premier league manager who knows what he's doing. He was at Everton for 11 years and rarely had them out the top 8 whilst spending little money. He needs time to get it right.

How many managers do we need to go through for people to realise the owner is the problem?

Think the criticism Moyes gets is way over the top. People complaining he never brought any subs on today but how many of these young players have most fans actually seen play live? Not many watch our u23 games. Maybe Moyes has watched and knows they wouldn't have made a difference?

We lost today because Stoke have a better team. Other than Defoe, how many of our starting 11 would have got in theirs today? None.

It wasn't Ellis Short who decided to take off attacking players away to West Ham and Man City to invite more pressure on, in both of those games we were getting an outlet but he cost us a point in each game by his changes

Playing two right backs is never clever either, why not play players in the position they are used to and when injuries mean you have to dip into the development squad then you do that.

I bloody hope you're right but I can't see it happening.

Cos 5 mill gets you jack shit. It's 2017, not 1997.hanley to the mags,6 million.Clark, the same.

He spent around 25 million on three players mate. None improved our team. What point am I missing?

Moyes has got the weakest hand any manager has had in our recent history. Yes he spent the summer budget but no one could have predicted our injury problems.

Pickford, Kone, Kirchoff, Cattermole, Watmore and Anichebe would all have played had they been fit. How many teams in the bottom half of this league could manage without six first team players?

The trouble is o e of the above won't be fit again this season, at least three of the others have horrendous injury records and Kone arguably doesn't want to be here.

If we get out of this they'll have to bring out a new "Greatest escape" DVD

Signing N'Dong instead of a player with premier league experience was crazy.
To be fair N'Dong is looking a bit better but he isn't what we needed, it was a gamble he shouldn't have taken.

Again, disagree. He was asked a question and he answered it. What do you think the reaction would have been if he'd said "no, we'll be mid table, no problem"?
You could interpret his response as a challenge to the players. It always amazes me how his man management and tactics are called into question when we lose, but no-one says a word when we win.

If he has such bad man management skills, why did Pienaar, McNair, Love, Anichebe and Januzaj agree to sign for him again?
2 of them were free agents, 4 of them had no chance of getting a PL team to sign them (apart from us) and the other one wasn't getting a game, I wish none of them had signed, I'd rather he came in and said something like "well were going to try not to be and I'm going to do my best to ensure we arn't but it's a tough league anything can happen"
His dour sombre mood sapped the life out of the club and players imo.

Disagree, Ndong has been one of our best players this season, we missed him big style today, nobody else in our squad comes even close to his energy in the middle of the park.

but surely his terrible man management skills means that these millionaires wouldn't bother their arses to sign for such a dour, boring fucker?

Haway man.:lol: He's had 1 maybe 2 good games and been poor in the rest.

Money.

He's made mistakes, especially early in his reign, but to be fair he's been dealt an absolutely abysmal hand. We've got a squad which is f***ing dreadful, with a billion injuries on top and after our appalling start we are still actually in a battle, which I didn't expect.

He certainly deserves criticism and I can't be arsed with all the "Moyes sunglasses" shit. But he's not the idiot many portray him to be and, considering the distinct lack of options elsewhere and the fact that, slowly, he's been improving us, I'd be happy to see him stay if/when we go down.

As a side note, all this stuff having a go at him for saying we were in a relegation fight - he said it after we'd lost our first two matches of the season and he was being honest. If he'd come out and said "no were pretty good and will be challenging for europe", the same people criticising his negativity would be slating him for being delusional and talking shit. Even Saintly Sam, the football genius, came out and said how shit we are at times last season.
