Is 2 Premier League wins from 12 laughable?

Yes! That is why there are still a lot of Moyes doubters amongst us, just look through the posts. Our manager has taken a team that went on a great run at the end of last season and made it shitter. There are a number of reasons behind this, like injuries and the new players taking a long time to settle (hopefully it is that and they are not just very poor players). Moyes had a great record at Everton, managed one of the biggest clubs in the world, but is not quite doing the goods here, so we doubt him. At Newcastle you had a manager who failed in a similar fashion when results really counted and you made him a legend.

I challenge you to find any rational person wanting to build a Moyes statue after two poor performances that managed to get us a couple of victories. Most people think he still has a lot to prove though there is a lot more positivity from a fair few posters.

Anyway, this was a discussion about clubs doing well in the lower leagues.

Hahaha.
Aside from the fact that many of you believe you only need "one or two" additions.

When you replace your relegated losers and overpaid Champo rejects, I suggest you also replace your failure of a manager.
The only good thing at your club is the bloke you all despise (when it suits).:lol:
From the squad we have now we would need 8 1st team players & improve the squad. We have a squad to get out of this league nothing more than that. Shifting the cowards for £75million was miraculous.

The failure manager you mention has won more than all the managers in our history

The point is that the post is a crock of shit. If we go up then alot of work will be required to get a decent team. No-one is deluded to think it will be easy despite what the Mackem Republic believe.
It's not us Mackems you thick heeded fucker, instead of picking the posts you wish to read, have a read of you're own deluded, obsessed and sad fellow scruffy mag posts.

But still FAILED in his task to save you from relegation, in management nobody gives a fuck what you previously achieved if you then go on to fail, which is basically what he did, fail. Unless of course you believe he wasn't appointed to keep you up.

 Daftest thing you've said all day, and that's going some. Klopp's final season at Dortmund was a failure, he finished 7th out of 18, was knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 and lost the German Cup.

You ironic moron, I see you're still pretending you attend matches Neil. Give up the pretence, it's getting tedious now.

Yep, terrible failure that by Klopp, you are a fuckin idiot.

A simple question for a simple poster, did your fat man fail?

How was your time away?

I agree with most of this, but would ask that similar context be applied to Rafa's 10 games in the Premier League with Newcastle. The narrative on Ready to Go is that irrespective of the situation he inherited Benitez is chiefly responsible for the relegation and because he didn't manage to turn the ship around in time he's therefore a "failure".

It's cognitive dissonance at best, or some kind of comforting delusion at worst.

I simply call it failure, fuck all else but failure.

So by your standards Stokoe failed

He won't lay any blame at Bentitez' door and it is solely because he is a big name. It is pathetic how all that club cares about, top to bottom is that they are seen to be relevant.
Desperate to elbow their way into the limelight.

We all know that is the sole reason they fawn over the fat Spanish failure.

Yes, we very well may be and no it won't drastically affect my life, either. If we do, it won't be following a solitary season after years in the wilderness, though.
I can't remember this much fawning when Chris Hughton was ripping up the Championship with them 6 years ago.

Same reason Stokoe was.

Beating gillingham 4-3 was a massive achievement to be fair.
Beating Leeds, one of the greatest teams of that era was some achievement, something you could only dream of!

Friday night and you're on a Sunderland forum, you sad fuckin knacker!

He had more than enough time to keep them up and couldn't manage it.

He has brought in a lot of players who are clearly too good for what is in the championship, has got them playing confidently and the league position shows that. they will more than likely walk the league and get promoted after which he has a shit load of work to do to a) shift some of the shite they have in the squad and b) get in at least 7 starting players for the premier league

So far the level of adulation and praise for him is baffling, he has a LOT of work to do

So he manipulated Steve McClaren into spending huge amounts of money (across 2 transfer windows) 9 months before he even took the job, then he was chiefly responsible for taking us down at the same time as Sunderland were solely responsible for sending us down.

Now, he's assembled an expensive squad who are so good that any mug could get them promoted, but none of those players are good enough to play in the league above.

Okey dokey

We can be responsible for RELEGATING YOU, as well as Rafa being responsible for f***ing up, you know?

Also you can now assemble an expensive squad (overpaying to ensure you get the players etc) as well as the majority not being good enough to make it in the PL.

Beating the best team in the country, to win the FA Cup was even better. Who was your last manager to win a major trophy?
When did you beat Liverpool then?

This is, was & always will be a NUFC forum. It is the most discussed topic by far.
