Been out with a mag mate...

Hopefully we will be back soon, then we'll see if he can get that coverted 17th spot
No mate yous should be aiming to win the league like you normally do. Although I wouldn't bet against another relegation, yous love them recently

You could say that about all sides that come up from the Championship, usually you add to the squad and hope you can cling on, then if you do you try and build on it until we are stable, then you dare to kick on maybe get mid table, build and hope to get in to Europe.

Or you could just play for 17th every year.
Something you failed to do, is this the 17th spot you're hoping to nick next season?

You're forgetting the reason we are struggling and have been is because of what you've done this close season, bought average players to get you out the league, long and lucrative contracts. Do you believe you'll be able to shift these players when you get promoted?

Fishy, it is possible to be too good for the pub league and not good enough for the big boys league, you know.
What's more probable is that the players we have at the minute are too good for the Championship and while some aren't good enough for the Premier League (Hanley, Gouffran, Murphy etc.), but others are (Darlow, Elliott, Yedlin, Mbemba, Lascelles, Clark, Anita, Shelvey, Ritchie, Atsu*, Mitrovic, etc.). However, because they play for Newcastle United, you're entirely incapable of mature objectivity.

By the way, if you do succumb to relegation, will you be as disparaging of players like Defoe, Pickford, Kirchoff etc.?

Shelvey? He was one of the losers that took you down.
CBA to do more than skim read that.

Succumb. Bad choice of word when obviously last season we stayed up at your expense and the season before were safe before you, too.

No, the three you highlight are great lads and put a shift in. They did last season.
Unlike superstar Shelvey.

 I thought our relegation had nowt to do with us? I thought it was solely Sunderland that sent Newcastle down, well, solely Sunderland and solely Rafa Benitez as well?

Colback put a shift in, so did Lascelles, Mitrovic, Anita etc. and they're all great lads. So, by your logic, they shouldn't be criticised?

We are pretty good at selling shite for a profit.Like most clubs we buy players that turn out to be a waste ....Rodwell £10 million, the record signing Ndong isnt exactly setting the team alight, proving all teams buy players and they dont work.Murphy gets most of the ridicule but in truth was a backup thats not been needed, often previous managers at Newcastle had no backup.Rafa has many playere for his task in hand, me as a fan doesnt give a shit about the fees or spending.

Benitez and Sunderland combined put you down.
McLaren had done a lot of damage, but the fat waiter had 30 points to play for and 9 were against 'shitter' sides.

We put the final nail in your coffin (handy that you already had one).

Those Mag players are proven Championship level though. Not good enough for the Premier League.
Unlike our Premier League standard players which you highlighted.

Colback.:lol: The only impressive thing he has done at St James' is when he scored against you, for us.

Ashley

Read the thread properly

My the mags are biting today mind :lol:

Is this Rafa who took 3 points from games v Villa, Norwich and us? Rafa who took 2 wins from 9 games that mattered?

So Ashley took us down now? I thought it was a combined Sunderland/Benitez catastrophe?

It seems you think there's a magical portal that you pass through once you're relegated, stripping you of any quality you may previously have had. The team that fields Player A is relegated, therefore Player A is not good enough for the Premier League regardless of context. Player B currently plies his trade for a team in the Premier League, therefore Player B is Premier League standard regardless of context.

By your rationale Ritchie isn't good enough for the Premier League despite being a regular starter for Bournemouth in 15/16 and being far too good for the Championship in 16/17. But Abel Hernandez is good enough for the Premier League because he plays there currently.

And if that's the logic and if you were to be relegated, your star players would pass through that same portal and suddenly become "not good enough for the Premier League". By your logic.

There's a difference between selling players for a profit to Premier League clubs and selling players you paid over the odds for to other Championship clubs.

As for Rodwell and Ndong I don't see anyone saying anything else than what they are. You don't have to post anti SAFC shite every post.

No. Finishing 18 took you down. You can blame McClaren all you want. Ashley appointed him, Ashley financed the deals, Ashely appointed Benitez who's points tally was appalling given the strength of the opposition you had. You can ignore the Spurs game because the season was over at that point - 2 wins from 9 is laughable

Is 2 Premier League wins from 12 laughable?

They struggle to comprehend that the mastermind behind their very recent success has been Ashley. He recruited Benitez, managed to sell the dross for a massive profit and sanction insane spending on players like Grant Hanley and Daryl Murphy, all the while keeping match tickets cheap.

Notice that this bad boy has not been updated since May 15th.

I think a Champo club would have the likes of Murphy for example, if not yous seem to think as ive said that we give a shite about money lost on players, it happens all the time would you not agree?
