Why are there so few famous Sunderland supporters?

You have to turn this question on it's head...

Why do so many celebrities seem to support other teams?

That reason is - most celebrities aren't really avid fans so they align themselves with the obvious - United, Liverpool, Arsenal etc. Very much like most of the public do who 'notionally' have a team. I know an awful lot of people who aren't really all that keen on football, but say 'I suppose Man United'.

I'm pretty convinced that's what's happening with a lot of celebs.

Our mediocrity must be proof of his non existence Shirley. Or just his mysterious ways?
Who do you think arranged all these great escapes and us dumping the mags in the shitter ?

Mag patter isn't it? Fizzy pop mag patter.

Never let the bastards forget. Grind them into the dirt. Horse punching, gravy stained thick twats. To a man. We beat them six on the trot then relegated the fuckers. Yesssssa.
This until the end of days.

Chris Waddle
Neil Tennant
James Herriot
Arthur Smith - The comedian

All lads fans. And the second/ fourth names down are too....serious:eek::lol:
Smith was/is with a SAFC supporting woman. That's about it. Doubt he'd say he supported us

This. The fuckers want to talk everything apart from on field results.

"Airport, city centre , they've got Steve Cram, celebrity fan."

Pathetic

Maybe invite some big celeb for one game and then build a statue of them Fulham style hahaha

Didn't Sting and Brian *Ferrari ;) both do a beefy the traitorous *****?

*anarr it's Ferry afore yas start
Sting deffo used to watch us as a teenager, was pally with a lass I know who stood beside him in the Roker End.
If you list them all there's quite a few now, not many serious A-lister types but known to most I'd say.

Stewart, Rice and Collingwood I have heard of. Collingwood through the daily Echo that I have posted from the NE each day, Stewart is a given, of course, the world knows who he is. And then Rice but I wouldn't be able to put a face to the name. So probably just two and a half, really. I noticed all the signs in the most wonderful of places a few years back saying 'Catherine Cookson Country' and I later read one of her books. Does she support the Lads by any chance ? Would up my number.
I don't know about Catherine Cookson.
Melanie Hill is an actress, she's in Coronation Street at the minute
Steve Cram was an athlete, he does a lot of commentating these days
Kate Adie was a BBC news reporter
George Clarke is a TV presenter
James Herriot was a vet, the All Creatures great and small books and TV series were based on his life
Toy Dolls are a local band

Think Karl Howman (Jacko from Brush Strokes) is a Charlton fan, remember him being interviewed at the playoff final.
Buster makes eastenders less shit,as he is the only person in it who has any semblance of acting skill. Used to love brush strokes as a kid. Hope he gets a severe head cold for supporting charlton on that day tho,how dare he not support the 'ammers being from London?
