'Gini' sold by the scum?

There's not a chance Townsend will stay, especially if he does OK in the Euros. He might be there at the start of the season, but I bet he won't be come the end of the transfer window.

Rafa will play him CM and totally stifle any attacking threat the Mags have. That's the way he plays.

Can't see players like Townsend Wijnaldum and one or two others flourishing.

Mags have called him Gini since he signed for some strange reason, probably because they are strange :)
Probably because his name in Georginio Wijnaldum and he introduced himself via the Club's media arm as "Gini" Wijnaldum...
  • If he goes this summer we should get a decent amount for him that we can reinvest,
  • If he stays and strops we should still be able to flog him in January,
  • If he stays and plays well we'll have a very good attacking midfielder working under a good coach and
  • If he's still here by the time we're promoted (which I'm confident will happen this coming season) he's definitely good enough for the Premier League and we can keep him/sell him next summer

I can understand why some Sunderland fans are hungry to paint this as a disaster though.

Some just won't accept you's will get promoted with ease. Bit sad really, we are in the divison above and some fans are more concerned on you guys making us look small time.
