Rafael Benítez

Unfair on Pearson - he had Leicester improving of that there is no doubt

After having them totally in the shit.

Get promoted first. I genuinely believe you'd have had a better chance with Pearson. Saying that you probably had a better chance of survival in the first place with him. He's not high profile enough for your lot though... You're paying millions more to have the "privilege" of Benitez down there, and you also you have no idea yet what he wants to spend this guaranteed transfer kitty on... High wages on ageing players? You'll struggle to utilize his usual contacts being in the Championship, and he certainly doesn't know the English market for the type of players needed...

And is Benitez really the Premier league saviour if you get back up there anyway? Couldn't beat Norwich. Couldn't beat Sunderland. Couldn't beat Villa. He had plenty of opportunities to keep you up but failed.
His points ratio looks far superior than your performances merited in that run in too. Would your ten men really have beaten a motivated Spurs team so comfortably? Swansea gave up after going a goal behind, you were fortunate against Palace. Liverpool & Man C didn't turn up for the second half, anyone watching could see they were thinking of those Euro semi's. The games when you had a competitive and fired up opposition you failed to deliver. Discounting Spurs as you were already relegated, you won TWO out of 9 games. Home games against Swansea & Palace...

"Rafa the legend" f***ing hell  Enjoy the Championship

How does the fact that Hughton was highly regarded fit into your 'demand a high profile manager' mantra? He isn't 'high profile' at all.

And that ended well. He took you up and had you about 10th in the table. I remember it well as a few mates of mine were creaming themselves about Jol coming in...

You're honestly telling me that if you'd had the same performances and end result with someone like Pearson there'd have been a similar response?

Your behaviour with Benitez has been f***ing hilarious

Possibly not, but Pearson is an absolute knacker and in the same mould as McClaren and Pardew. He'd be a massively uninspiring appointment (he's been here before under Roeder and I recall him being slumped in his chair giving zero fucks away to Reading near the end of the 06/07 season)

Can't help wondering if, for example, Nigel Pearson, had got the exact same results and taken them down, if there would have been the same theory about improved performances, not enough time and the clamour to stay on in the championship.

Ok. Say one of those three gets us promoted, then what? (I feel like I'm repeating myself)

Those three have a ceiling that is way below what Benitez's potential is.
Worth splashing on Benitez this year on the assumption you'll go up (as you will be expected to) and then you've got a better manager in the premiership, rather than Steve Bruce/Nigel Pearson/some cunt in the premiership

Perspective is a wondrous thing.
Perspective coming from a fat mag!

Enjoy the Championship you chump, he fuckin failed with the one and only task in hand and now he will get you promoted with ease and get you in Europe, perspective is a wondrous thing.

Now take you and your fake Internet persona and fuck right off you boring twat. (No anger just stating facts)

He's nailed on to save them from two seasons in the lower leagues mate. Haven't you heard?:lol:
How could I forget I think we are all sick of hearing it. Still it will make it all the better if they get beat in the play off final

He saved them from survival, best thing that could have happened apparently.

Bread into paella?

Surely turns fish into paella or bread into tapas, thick twats.
It's hilarious man, I can't imagine for a minute that if say Nigel Pearson had taken over, and got exactly the same results and outcome as Rafa that they'd be laying out the red carpet and worshipping him at the alter of the toon
