Did you mention the now over £1,000 going to charity/good causes that's been generated on the back of this? The Mags and the media certainly aren't as they try to put a negative spin on it to drum up the 'faux outrage'
Their justgiving page has died a death [am I allowed to use the 'D' word, or is it still too soon?] mind. They've had no donations in over 15 hours and it's stuck on £662.

PS If contributions suddenly start up again I'm going to claim responsibility. ;)

There's another 30 pages/500 messages since I last read this thread. Can someone update me please as to what's going on since the chronicle ran the story on their website last night?

If it were roles reversed and they did it to us for our final home game of the premier league for however long that may be, I'd feel embarrassed. Humiliated. Beyond pissed off. Then it would dawn on me that the shower I was watching in the final game were to blame for the plane flying over, which would subsequently make me even more pissed off.

As its not roles reversed and it's us doing it to them I am more than chuffed it's happening. Stick it to them. We don't give them enough for 'being the better man' so to speak.

I'd rather people put £750 to a worthwhile charity rather than look obsessed. Complete waste of money.
I agree....This is classless it does not represent Sunderland football club....& I am so thick tell me in English what that German saying means?

NOT THE "D"WORD!

Pleased you are so proud of posting on a forum more than me!

I've been to 85 away grounds, whilst you were probably w*****g over you keyboard.

Been on here since 2006 and over 50% of your posts have been on this thread, the last thread about the plane fly-over and a thread you started slagging off our fans for leaving early.

I would suggest you may well have been to 85 away grounds but you weren't watching Sunderland when you went :lol::lol::lol:

Enjoy the Championship you tosser.

AGREED.
Sitting here with non SAFC fans discussing this, and unfortunately they concensus is it is petty, small minded and makes us look obsessed.

I objected last time as well, but in the end it was ok. However, they have been relegated this time so this fly by really lacks class.

I am not a Mag, and know some will think it is fantastic idea. Just a shame it is so visible and reflects on us all.

Just think what your reaction would be if the tables were turned. I know I would think it was purile and embarrassing.
Thanks pal.

It was only 24 hours and it was stopped. We could still get a higher total if people donate to [email protected] as they enjoyed the plane (if it all goes well and is nowhere near the 17th minute!). I doubt it will happen but any amount is a good thing so rivalry aside you have to give them credit for what they raised

There's over £1,000 now going to charity/good causes now because of this. How much would have been generated if the plane gimmick didn't exist I wonder? ;) @MrMojo has since donated since that post anarl
