Just walked past the terminal from the Long stay car park to the doubletree, must be at least 20 people in the arrivals hall with Newcastle tops on expecting something
they'll be waiting a while like. According to sky he's been in Liverpool the last 2 days

iirc a certain shearer took over, won a derby v boro about 8 games left and that ended well

LouLou Taylor, in her most recent article, has written "After the visit to Leicester, Newcastle are home to Sunderland – managed by Benitez’s old friend Sam Allardyce – and are then away at Norwich, another key relegation rival". I genuinely don't know if this is a joke or if she thinks they actually are friends.

His appointment was a car crash waiting to happen. Just so happens the impact was in January and they're only just pulling the cunt of of the wreckage now.

On paper the managers they've been linked with are better than McClaren bit none have any experience of grinding out results at the wrong end of the premier league. Benitez, Moyes and Roger's have all been sacked for failing recently.

Harry Redknapp would be a better but short term choice to get a tune out of a poor squad
DA didn't have a track record for grinding out results at the wrong end of the table but he did it. A good manager is a good manager.
