Newcastle Manager Situation

They already a struggle to score, protecting that horrendous defence and managing to score will be tough.
Yep, they'll sacrifice their attacking threat to be tighter.
Mind he'll get a shock when he sees the "ability level" of some of them.

Can't help thinking it would be our death knell. Three of four are going down and I think he'll have enough to drag them out of it.
This is the danger. They've got some decent fixtures and I feel there's almost certain to be a bounce factor; there nearly always is. He's a decent manager who's pretty much always been around top European clubs. We do need to worry IMHO. In the end though, it's in our hands. We've got enough to beat them at their place. We need to put a few wins together or we'll go down... Rafa or no Rafa.

You can't polish a turd

Colback isn't going to suddenly start passing forward and Dummet isn't going to suddenly be able to defend.

On purely defending I would have chosen Janmaat, Coloccini, Lascelles and Taylor to make the point before him. That in itself tells a story I suppose

Just been on about this with my dad. It doesn't take long now a days to sack a manager and bring a replacement in, especially one that is available.

Credit to Steve for carrying on as per business as usual and despite f***ing up he is gonna walk away from this a hero due to the saga this week.

However, if it was you, would you still be turning up for work as normal? There must have been something said or something done or any normal person would have just said fuck off. Granted there is the compo shit but does he really need the money?

If he turns up as normal tomorrow, expect him to be there Monday.

Jesus wept...get a fuckin grip man he's a manager who just been sacked by one of the biggest clubs in the world cos he wasn't good enough..

Everyone gets sacked at Real Madrid.. like Mourinho, Ancelotti, Hiddink and Pellegrini

Day off tomorrow back in on Saturday

This doesn't normally take until Thursday when he should have got the boot on Monday or Tuesday. Something fishy going on
3 options
1 (and my hope) they're not sacking him and just f***ing with everyone for shits and giggles
2 Tufty is being moved into a more executive role upstairs and they are just waiting on the nod from the waiter
3 (most likely) they are hoping he sees what is going on and feels his position is untenable so walks. Saving them a hefty payout in the immediate future albeit ending up in a court case Mike is likely to lose for constructive dismissal

This appointment has a Felix Magath feel to it. Both men whose best days in this industry are behind them, both look like comedy TV characters, and both are used to fighting at the other end of the table and probably don't know what it takes to fight in a relegation scrap
Just as well the board didn't think like you last year when they appointed DA.
Probably wouldn't have a derby to look forward to next week.

Sometimes I wish non Sunderland supporters didn't read this board when I read some of the things posted on here.
