Newcastle Manager Situation

3 options
1 (and my hope) they're not sacking him and just f***ing with everyone for shits and giggles
2 Tufty is being moved into a more executive role upstairs and they are just waiting on the nod from the waiter
3 (most likely) they are hoping he sees what is going on and feels his position is untenable so walks. Saving them a hefty payout in the immediate future albeit ending up in a court case Mike is likely to lose for constructive dismissal
4. They haven't got a clue what they are doing?

Well I'm well confused....last thing I saw at 2:30 this afternoon was that he was no longer in charge, been out and just get back and now find he hasn't!

More twists and turns and script rewrites than what is in EastEnders.....

Exactly.

If they'd announced a new manager on Monday there'd have been some impact ....... this is very poor management.

Spot-on. They've let a bloke they evidently have no confidence in, prepare a team all week for a game against the league leaders on Monday (leaving only 9 games). After that, any manager will have an absolute maximum of 4 days to prepare the team for their biggest game (3 days training).

Not that I'm complaining mind.

This is so fun, their fans are in meltdown mode everytime steve is styaing

Luke Edwards saying he's travelling to Newcastle tomorrow

I reckon Benitez is dragging it on to smoke out any interest before signing

Just been on about this with my dad. It doesn't take long now a days to sack a manager and bring a replacement in, especially one that is available.

Credit to Steve for carrying on as per business as usual and despite f***ing up he is gonna walk away from this a hero due to the saga this week.

However, if it was you, would you still be turning up for work as normal? There must have been something said or something done or any normal person would have just said fuck off. Granted there is the compo shit but does he really need the money?

If he turns up as normal tomorrow, expect him to be there Monday.
Scheduled day off for players tomorrow, so something is more likely to happen. If he survives tomorrow he'll be there Monday.

It's a belting job for any manager worth his salt imo, guaranteed massive pay off when you fail to win the league (in pretty way of course) in your first season ! I'd love a bloke to come in and just tell it like it is, a bit like Cloughie did at Leeds with the team
