Newcastle Manager Situation

Media trying to create a story - that BBC article has no quotes and no new content, just an assertion about Rafa being first choice pasted directly on top of their previous story from yesterday or the day before. Pathetic. Leave our Tufty alone.

Any stats out there on how teams fair in the next 10 games with a new manager? I assume it better as the lad who has just been sacked was shite, but either way even the shittest manager (PDC) can give enough of a piss poor team (the one that finished that season) to stay up.

However, we play the next 9 like the last 9 and I think we are ok.

I like the way Benitez gets the piss taken out of him by Mourinho, basically he said his achievements at most clubs mean nothing because of the squad he inherited in the first place :-D

And how is Maggie's resignation connected to this story? ['Related to this story' on the right]:

How did Carver do, think it might have been 10 defeats ;)

Rafa ticks all the boxes. Liverpool, Real Madrid, Spanish, Champions League winner, little goatee beard...Nothing but the best for The Toon Army.

He's a good manager, Carragher Gerrrard even f***ing Bellamy speak highly of him with regards to tactical approach and he will also have them giving 100% commitment he demands more from players even when they win... Knows how to set up a team in a big game too. Bah i wish they were linked with someone proper shit.
Does he know how to set up a team for a big game? Champions league final was a one in a million tenner they were 3-0 down, that doesn't sound like a well setup team to me. Real got absolutley massacred of Barca recently no? Clearly didn't set them up very well for what is arguably the biggest of games. I think he's a bit of a crap manager in all honesty.

Imagine if we beat Newcastle by a similar score, they'll be calling for his head :lol::lol:

New manager bounce is largely a myth. When it happens we all notice it, when it doesn't the blame goes to the old manager.
