Newcastle Manager Situation

I think its just a new manager who will go back to basics might get them a few wins, its not even really about Benitez, I just think someone compitent might give them a boost

Di Canio kept us up for god sake

Big Dick is probably a better example, experienced manager, not used to relegation fights and wasn't the answer long term, but he used common sense more than anything to organise the side

Benitez might be a total disaster, but my worry in all of this is that we did reasonably OK in the last 3 games but didn't get the points, we should have a cushion ahead of them for this very scenario, but we blew it, and now are only 1 point ahead.

What in both seasons they got to the final, you build your team around your best players, this is not even about Newcastle now, but no point in saying he wasn't brilliant in those spells in Europe, he was! Don't rewrite history man.

I'm not rewriting it at all. They were out at the last 16 stage until Gerrard hit one in the last minute. They were also dead and buried until he hoyed Gerrard up front (yes, it was his decision). He did really well, I'm not denying it. Though, I think that amazing night in Istanbul (which should have been done by half-time) has provided a far more romantic view of him.
Di Matteo also won The Champions League on penalties.

Imagine if they do go down.
They'd of spent 80 million in the transfer window AND have given their new manager 3 million a month :lol::lol::lol:

Quite worrying that they have a new manager. The bottom 3 will consist of Sunderland or Newcastle, Norwich and Villa. Newcastle getting a new manager only makes it harder for us and Norwich to keep them down. Newcastle have some easier fixtures ahead of us

Yes he can try to organise them a little better but he can't make them better footballers in such a limited time nor can he instill enough passion into enough of the ones drifting through games.... He simply doesn't have the tools to work with
